It was the most expensive hotel that we had booked (almost double the price of the others) but we found it to offer poor value for money in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in.
For the quality of hotel I was very surprised with the value for money.
I expect a little more luxury for a hotel that adds Resort and Spa to its name and charges those type of prices.
After our trip, my credit card was charged an additional $125 which is the mandatory resort fee that was not included on my hotel folio at check-out.
The location is awesome and the hotel is well located.
You can't beat the location and proximity to the Whistler gondola and village.
And like everyone else has said, the location can't be beat - heart of the village and right next to the lifts.
Didn't use the car valet, because the underground parking was easy.
Don't even think of getting a rental car at the airport.
I had a studio suite - the room was very spacious, very comfortable, has a good kitchennette and a sofa bed.
Our room had a bedroom w/ a king bed and large closet but little drawer space.
I took my parents to Whistler for the weekend and we were very pleased with the roomy 2-bedroom, 2 bath suite with full kitchen (including stainless steel appliances and granite countertops), living room, dining area, balcony, and steam bath.
Our room was huge, with the most comfortable bed, as well as a large bathroom and modern kitchenette.
Very spacious, well furnished - huge comfortable bed even by North American standards, sofa, fully equiped kitchen, fire (open vent in fireplace as instructed to avoid smoke), jaccuzi bath, balcony, room safe and bathrobes for good measure!
The restaurant was great for breakfast and the bar was fun (with 2 pool tables).
We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was superb, other good restaurants I would recommend are the Umberto italian and tuscan restaurants and La bocca.
There is a real fire place supplied with logs, a full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, dishes, cups, granite counter tops and a breakfast bar (no dining table).
We only ate in the hotel restaurant one time - for breakfast.
Cinnamon Bear Grille is the hotel restaurant, we had breakfast there one day which was very good.
Attitude of staff excellent, concierge and front desk most helpful.
We used the concierge service for restaurant reservations--well worth it.
Front desk most helpful, the concierge are very very hospitable lads and rooms are a good size.
The service was good and concierge were excellent.
The spa was not complete last time and so this was a pleasant surprise – we used the pool, hot tub and the gym a few times.
An outdoor heated pool, two hot tubs, sauna and fitness room are available to all guests for no extra charge, and are very well maintained.
On a brighter note, the hotel's pool, sauna, gym and whirlpool area where nice and great to relax in after a hard day's skiing.
The bathroom was also very clean and nice.
The rooms are larger than usually found in this type of chain and were spotlessly clean.
The room was clean and the fitness facilities were great.
Both rooms were beautiful and the buffet was always clean.
The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel room, grounds and pool were extremely clean and in great condition.
