Hilton Weimar Hotel - 魏玛

Good location in Weimar and spacious room overlooking the park.

Hotel has a good location and friendly staff.

Hilton weimar is indeed not in a central location, pool of good size.

A taxi from the train station costs E7-8.

Bus groups do stay here, but I didn't find them overwhelming, just inconvenient when taxi trying to pick up or drop off when bus parked in front of hotel.

The sauna area is very well equipped, with dunking tubs, cold showers, foot baths, and a Ruheraum (resting room).

The room was quite large and comfortable, including a large bath.

It was a lovely room, with sitting area and work desk, windows on two sides and the view of the park was magnificent.

I was first given a room on the sixth floor with no view of the park, and when I asked for a room with a view, they moved me to the fourth floor to a room facing the park (on one night, I even saw fireworks from the window).

The business floors are much nicer than the other floors (with complimentary water, a coffee machine), so be sure to ask for a room on one of those floors.

We had one of the buffet dinners in the restaurant and enjoyed both good food and service.

The breakfast in the morning was just fantastic.

Unfortunately we couldn’t try the restaurant, as our performance started at 4:00 p.

One moring the staff in the restaurant could hardly cope but, within 5 minutes of our arrivel (0845) another staff member joined the team and service was again great.

We found this in all a comfortable and excellent stay, with good service and friendly staff.

The food is adequate tho nuthin special, the spa/pool only sees little use.

The spa area is relaxing: you are greeted as you come out of the elevator by a bust of Herder (philosophers are sure to enjoy this touch).

The pool is fine for some light lap-swimming, there is a nice Jacuzzi: all was clean.

The service was great, the bathroom was very clean and nice.

Decent sized clean room, breakfast fabulous and the gym isnt very big.

Moreover staff very friendly and rooms spotless.
