Hilton University Of Houston - 休斯敦

The air conditioner sounds like a 747 getting ready for takeoff (and blows right onto the bed, that's pleasant!

Our room was small and weirdly spaced, there was a weird sliding closet and a giant vent above one of our beds.

There's a good game room and fast food directly across from the hotel at the student center and the campus is nice, but the hotel rooms are old and don't meet the standards of the upgrades Hilton has been making.

Then get to a Dirty room that hasn't been updated since the early 80's I'd say - it's got PINK furniture and gilded everything.

There are two beds thrown in here along with a TV so small, i think it might be a fossil.

At breakfast the next day I discovered a smashed tomato in the carpeting that was left over when the restaurant was not properly cleaned from the night before.

The food at Eric's, the restaurant, is excellent and the rooms are very adequate.

I have also eaten at Eric's restaurant in the hotel several times since 2006.

They pretty much run the hotel, and the restaurants.

The service was slow on for both breakfast and dinner.

The staff was courteous, and I received great service in the hotel restaurant (very cute waitress from Turkey, but she knew very little about the actual menu or beer selection).

The front desk staff was exceptionally rude.

Although this Hilton is not a five star property, I gave it the high ranking due to the extreme efficiency, pleasantness and attentiveness of the staff.

Front desk was ok but the lobby stinks like a sewerline problem - elevator too.

Location wise it is on the campus so it is perfect for trips to UH and the parking fee and taxes are average for hotels in Houston.

No gym onsite but you can use the one on campus (ah no thanks).

The wireless connectivity works well here and that is the saving factor.

While the hotel itself is fine - my rooms have always been comfortable and clean, no noise issues for me.
