If there is any downfall to the hotel it might be it's location being just SLIGHTLY too far from the two nearby casinos.
Beautiful property, great downtown location.
The Hilton Shreveport is a wonderful hotel with great hospitality, great location, and from our room a great view.
The location was great and the entire 'vibe' from the hotel was wonderful.
Casino location: Sam Town is within easy walking distance (less than 10 minutes) but I don’t recommend it at night.
I was upgraded to a junior suite, and it was beautiful and huge, with great city view; had a bedroom, living room, and amazing bathroom with seperate shower and jacuzzi tub.
The bedrooms are a good size with flat screen TVs, comfy bedding, granite in the bathrooms, and Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries.
Our room on the 12th floor was very nice with modern decor, beds extremely comfortable, flat screen tv had a great picture.
They gave us a great suite with a PERFECT view for the "romance package", but then we were moved to another room.
This room not only had more room in it then any other hotel I've been in but it had fantastic amenities like a HUGE 42 inch High Definition LCD TV and FREE wireless internet!
We tried the restaurant for breakfast the first day and found the food to be very good (try the crawfish & egg dish).
Food: One of the features that they offer a diamond member using a rewards night is free breakfast for two – in room or in the restaurant.
There is a good restaurant downstairs, bar, and it is attached to the convention center.
Nearby restaurants: We always like to go to Nicky’s Mexican restaurant in the covered area adjacent to the El Dorado.
It is possible my breakfast waitress was over extended as management probably figured having too many restaurant staff was a waste of money.
The hotel is, as you would expect for a brand new hotel, in excellent shape and the reception staff was very enthusiastic and courteous.
The front desk staff was friendly and attentive.
Front desk personnel very cold and borderline rude when checking in and later asking for directions.
The top floor houses a small gym and rooftop pool with excellent views.
Great pool on the 12th floor, along with a workout room and a spa.
Otherwise, the workout room was well equiped, the "saline" pool was small, but fun and the spa was perfectly hot.
There is a small fridge which is nice and the free wireless internet is a big plus.
The bathroom was very clean, and love the La Source by Crabtree & Evelyn bathroom ammenties.
Clean, modern rooms with flat screen TVs.
