Hilton Savannah De Soto - 薩凡納

Great location in the historic part of the city (much better in my opinion than on the river where most of the other chain hotels are located).

The location is good with historic sights and nice breakfast locations nearby.

The positive features include a location to die for - a ten minute walk to river street, five minute walk to Jepson Museum of Art, five minute walk to the Savannah Maritime Museum, and ten minutes to Broughten St (The best place to go out for food).

Keep your car in the garage, Savannah is best seen on foot!

The underground parking deck is a good 20 degrees hotter than it is outside; it was completely miserable taking our bags from the car to the hotel.

The rooms were small and although we are Hilton Honors members, we were not given our preference of a King size bed; instead we were given a room with 2 double beds.

I was supposed to have an 'executive suite' but it was just a small one-room with a desk, chair and bed.

We had a room with double beds and the beds were quite small, I think I am used to at least a queen bed when two beds are in a room.

Room size was fine, loved the bed and the shower was just killer!

I paid $139 a night for an upgraded room (12th floor with balcony) that included a Serta-Sleeper mattress, king-size bed, continental breakfast, conceirege lounge access at night.

The restaurant food is very good and the breakfast buffet is great and reasonable for all the food available.

The conference facilities were better than most, and the food and service in both the bar and restaurant were excellent.

The restaurant breakfast and lunch buffets are reasonable (and delicious) at $9.

Also, the conceriege level was nothing special with a pay bar ($2) although breakfast was perfectly nice (yogurt, danish, donuts, fresh fruit, cereal).

Breakfast in the restaurant was ok, but nothing to write home about and it was highly priced.

From the bellman that greeted us at the door to the highly efficient front desk staff to the wonderfully knowledgable concierge, our stay was terrific.

Room was excellent - maid service was excellent - concierge was excellent.

The self parking garage is attached to the hotel and easily accessible by elevator to the lobby.

We didn't use the pool however because it was too cold but we did use the Gym.

The pool deck is a bit disappointing- a huge area with a tiny pool and a rather ridiculous fitness center (a small room with three machines).

We didn't receive refills for the coffee maker, and the complimentary wi-fi had been turned off.

Internet access was high-speed and simple to access.

The room was clean, comfortable and had a fabulous view of the city from both the room and balcony.

The room was clean, nice, and had all the amenities I am used to with the Hilton chain.

We called housekeeping and they sent up someone to clean the tub.

This is the first hotel I have stayed in that does not clean the rooms daily.

Please clean and freshen bathrooms in the lobby.
