Great location if you want to be close to most anything.

Great central location, convenient to area attractions.

As far as location goes, this is a great hotel.

It was about $15 to catch a cab to Balboa park and the zoo, about $20 to downtown, and $25 to the airport.

It's also located fairly close to downtown, the airport, and Sea World.

When my group of 14 arrived from the Midwest for an educational conference, we found that although our reservations said two queen beds per room, we had been given rooms with only one bed.

Rooms were nice-hard to see TV from bed as it didn't slide out of armoire.

The beds were very comfortable with down comforters and four down pillows on each bed.

Our room was nice and we both slept very well in our Kingsized bed.

Room was spacious, bed comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.

The restaurant was also small, but the breakfast food that I had was very good.

Positives: food service at both the restaurant and the pub/bar were very good.

We did not eat at the restaurant or have room service while we were there, since I wanted to try all the local restaurants instead.

The layout of the restaurant/bar was confusing if you're coming in from the back bar part of the hotel near the elevators instead of the front entrance.

We had breakfast coupons in the restaurant and the waiter allowed us to use them for the breakfast buffet with no additional charge (a difference of about $3 a person).

Everytime I interacted with the staff, be it front desk, room service, etc, I found them to be helpful and courteous.

The most impressive was the service from the front desk.

Good fitness room, pool, and free internet downstairs in the lobby and restaurant ( $9.

Small pool, small fitness center, no spa/salon - not sure why they call it a resort?

The parking is underground with lobby entrance.

It was $14/night to park and $10/day PER LAPTOP per night for wi-fi.

The business center is a bit sparce as it has one PC and one printer.

Rooms have been remodeled and were clean and nice.

The room I stayed at on the 11th floor was extremely clean and well kept.

Our room was very clean and well appointed.

The room itself seemed dusty and my husband and I both commented on how we didn't feel the place was clean.

It's not that the place wasn't kept up by housekeeping, we just both had the FEELING that it wasn't as clean as other hotel rooms in which we'd stayed.
