Compared to prices and standards of the rooms in other hotels we stayed in in LA, I would gather that you could stay in nicer places for your money.
Experienced this hotel as very convienent, staff was pleasant and helpful, the price I paid was far too much for this room.
Good location, great hotel gym and for the price I am satisfied.
It appears that the hotel has spent money updating their bar and reception area but have yet to refurbish the rooms.
All in all, we'd go back I suppose for the right rate -- the location is really unbeatable if you want to go out for some nightlife in Pasadena and be close to downtown, Paseo Colorado shopping mall etc.
The good is that the location is great - very close to Old Town, Paseo Colorado and Lake Ave.

I stay at this property at least a few times a month and have to say that it is in an excellent location!
I stayed for one night - paid $100 on Booked.net and was very satisfied with the room, the bed, and the bathroom.
Price is reasonable, lobby areas are much better than the room and bed is comfy 2.
The room was a tad on the small side and the king size bed was made for a "shorter" king.
The beds were comfy, the room clean, and the bathroom adequate.
The room was spacious and the bed was beyond comfortable but it just all looked like it needed bringing up to date.
The food in the restaurant is great and the location is unbeatable.
This is maybe the reason why almost nobody is eating in the hotel's restaurant.
In Old Town Pasadena near plenty of restaurants and many great shops all within a short walking distance.
A big new mall (with many restaurants) is an easy walk north to Colorado Boulevard, and the shops and restaurants of old Pasadena are just a few blocks further west.
On the plus side, there is a nice pool and it is only a short walk to restaurants (try the Cheesecake Factory for food - it's great!
The view of the mountains from the side of our balcony was nice, service was great at this hotel - I recommend to anyone and the front desk staff was friendly.
2) Customer service: EVERYONE was surprisingly helpful, considerate, and concerned, from the front desk rep to the room service waiter to the restaurant waitress.
The self-park parking was convenient at $10 per night, front desk personnel was very courteous and efficient, the concierge was friendly.
4) the pool and jacuzzi: on the small side, but on a sunny day relaxing all the same.

It's also a pet peeve of mine that major hotels do not offer free wireless Internet.
A good businessman's hotel in the commercial area of Pasadena, the staff was very friendly and the standard room was clean and comfortable.
Room was clean, wireless was fast and easy, the breakfast buffet was very good.
