Hilton Oceanfront Resort Hilton Head Island - 希爾頓黑德島

We were unfortunately not that impressed with the resort even though it was close to the beach and in a great location.

Close to dining and shopping, and the location is kept very secure.

The location was good and the beach was not crowded.

We stayed in a Sheraton at Charlotte airport that was significantly better presented and about $200 cheaper a night.

The view was amazing, the omlette stations was good and the beach was great to walk on.

We got an "Inn Suite" (island view) which is basically a 1 Bedroom and the kids slept in the living room on the pull out sofa bed.

The room was clean, furniture was nice, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size.

Room was very nice, wonderful bed linens, mini-kitchen, good size bathroom, and they all have a balcony or deck.

The room was large with 2 queen beds (unfortunately the hotel did not have a king bed room available) and it included a kitchen area that had a fridge, microwave, toaster and basic dishes.

The bed had pretty linens on it; the room was very tastefully decorated - not as cheesy as hotels usually are.

It's ok to have breakfast at the indoor restaurant but would caution against eating there for lunch due to the slow service.

The room was huge, the mini-kitchen was cool and food at the poolside restaurant/bar was also good.

The breakfast buffet is pricey ($9-14 depending upon if you go continental or for the hot breakfast bar) but the food again is wonderful and the service is attentive and friendly.

That said, Hilton Head is served by a large number of restaurants from inexpensive fast food to haute cuisine, nowhere is more than a fifteen or twenty minute drive away.

We ate breakfast at the Hilton (good), and had dinner at a nearby restaurant that we walked to (Alexander's) which was also pretty good.

The valet, concierge, and front desk staff were helpful and friendly, more than I could say about the maid.

Last year, the front desk staff service was disappointing for a Hilton Hotel.

Rooms are beautiful and still very spacious with small kitchen area, spa and fitness center open, and the lobby is up and running.

Never a long walk to elevators, lobby pool etc.

The lobby was very pretty, the pool was nice, and the short walk to the beach made it an exception place.

I had NO cell phone signal (not a bad signal, NO signal), no Blackberry signal, and could not get my laptop to successfully connect to EITHER their wired ot wireless netowrk.

The wireless internet could have been a little better, but I just plugged up when I needed to get online.

Carpet, bedding, furniture and linens were all fresh and clean and very nicely decorated.

The pools were very warm and both the rooms and the public areas of the hotel were very clean.

For the money, our Oceanview room was very nice and clean.

Our room (view of the roof-$100 through Booked.net) was spacious and clean.

Rooms were above average, large and very clean.
