Located on a quiet street and location is fine - near train.
The Hilton Mainz City was in a convenient location for me and cooking was superior to all other hotels we stayed in across Germany.
The location was pefect for business as I was working in Mainz.
It was a close walk (about 15 minutes) from the central train station and it is a five minute walk to the closest tram stops.
It is very close to the train station (only 10 minutes walk) but the very close neighborhood is not as pleasant as you woul expect.
4th floor for USA) I had a decent size room for European standards with a queen bed.
The room was clean with typical Hilton white sheets on the bed giving off a nice clean feeling.
The staff were attentive and the bed was nice.
Der Service am Check Inn war absolut super und extrem freundlich, two cookies on a bed of rock candy on a large platter.
The odds of a good view were minimal (my room had absolutely nothing to see out the window and hotel was quiet.
Breakfast was great but meal choice at night was poor.
I am a business traveller to Mainz but I also like to enjoy Mainz at night (restaurants, open air bars, etc.
They have a great little bar in the lobby perfect for a nightcap or happy hour drink to unwind.
I had breakfast buffet which had the usual juice, cold meats, bread etc.
They were kind enough to suggest several nearby restaurants which they felt would be faster.
Including more expensive hotels, excellent service and vERY helpful front desk staff in the morning for check-out.
The receptionist Sabina extends a very warm welcome, particularly friendly staff and my room was clean and comfortable.

High speed internet: providing through a third party (SwissCom) which works fine (both wired and wireless, everywhere in the hotel) but is VERY EXPENSIVE - 22 euro/day!
Really near the station and my spotlessly clean room overlooked the park.
The hotel was extremely clean, staff was friendly helpful and this room was very poorly cleaned.
Bathroom was large, marble, extremely clean with nice amenities (soaps, etc).
It was a little jaded internally although the rooms were spotless!
