Hilton Kauai Beach Resort Lihue - Lihue (Kauai)

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Kauai, its somewhat centrally located in the middle of all the best routes to the scenic areas.

The location was great, very centrally located.

Firstly the hotel's location is perfect, just minutes from the airport but with no air traffic noise, and it is centrally located on the Island so that you are about 45-60min from each end of the Islands main road.

You will need a car if you are staying here and the shuttle bus is called from the airport via a courtesy phone by the information booth, but as previously said, we would and will stay here again and would not hesitate to tell others to too.

Cab's are too expensive so if you want to spend a day shopping and sightseeing take the shuttle back to the airport and rent a car for a day.

Our room included a king-sized bed, chaise longue, television, alarm clock, small refrigerator, coffee maker, desk, plenty of storage and closet space and the bathroom of course.

If you want to splurge, go for an Ocean Front Suite, in which you will enjoy an extra large bedroom, 2 baths, a living room, dining area, and a spacious lanai to enjoy the gorgeous sunrises over the Pacific as you sip your Kona coffee.

$10 million renovation last Oct/06, so the rooms offer brand new beds, the bathroom is covered with marble, and our room overlooked the pool area with a little balcony.

Upon arrival, we were given a room with one bed, after telling the agent that three people would be in the room and two beds would be a must.

Firstly, the place was recently remodeled so the room is up-to-date, featuring a small but newly tiled bathroom and comfortable bed.

For food, there is a main restaurant, a separate lounge area and the poolside bar serves snacks (but it closes at sunset).

Yes the food was just fair but Duke's restaurant is only 10 minutes away and alot of other good restaurants.

The hotel's restaurant offers food until 10pm, which is a great think at an islant where all other places (including restaurants) close at 8pm.

The pools are absolutely amazing, and we loved eating breakfast each morning on the restaurant terrace downstairs.

Anyways, we all ate the breakfasts in the restaurant on a few occasions but we knew it wasn't cheap like Denny's or IHOP.

All the staff members including the front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, pool guys, waiters, valet guys were always always polite, friendly & willing to help or make suggestions for any questions we had.

Excellent maid service, as well as Kiana at the VIP concierge and the beds were super comfy.

Our room put us at a short walk to the ocean, pool, restaurant, parking lot, lobby.

The pool area was still being renovated but it rained the whole time we were there, so we just spent a little time in the jacuzzi.

The jacuzzi is great, the pool there is huge.

The hotel is equipped with wireless internet and they ask you to pay a resort fee, but don't be fooled.

They don't give you any special passcode to enter, anyone can get in (wireless internet only).

The rooms were clean and there were no bugs; maybe a little stain on the carpet.

The room was freshly redecorated and clean, the pools were reminiscent of the Mirage in Vegas (on a much smaller scale of course) and they were never crowded, though the hotel was sold out.

Moreover very clean room and complimentary Happy Hour at the Pool bar daily.

Furthermore bathroom was spotless, the restaurant was lovely.

The service was great and our room was very clean.
