The location is also right next to the new soccer stadium.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Stuttgart is in a great location and comfortable hotel close to the Mercedes Museum.
The location was good for me, but I do not know about the location to the downtown area.
Location wise - very quiet and the Wilhelma Zoo is easily accessible by underground as well by bus.
I think it is a bit a away from the station.
I arrived very late to a quick and efficent reception and directed to a fantastic room with seperate dressing area, living space, desk etc and a large and very comfortable bed.
The bed was super, the breakfast buffet was very good.

Visiting the impressive Mercedes Museum, a block away was the spring festival and breakfast at the hotel was superb as was the club/bar located on premises.
I didn't eat in the restuarant other than for breakfast and it was a buffet style but very good with hot and cold food, lots of cereals etc.
In addition free wired, nice LCD TV and the food at the bar was lovely too.
The buffet breakfast is the best I have ever had in any hotel!
