So all in all, I would say this hotel was excellent given the price, location and amenities.
Other than price this hotel was decent with a great location for Downtown Portsmouth.
I understand that it's a Hilton Garden Inn, not a full-service hotel, but if Hilton wants to charge those prices, they should rethink the level of service they provide their guests.
Overall, I'd recommend the hotel to redeem Honors points and for business travel, but if you're on your own dime, there's probably a better value out there.
Located on Commercial Street, this location provides you with easy walking access to the waterfront, as well as all of downtown and the areas east of downtown (observation tower, Shipyard Brewery, etc.
The location was excellent and breakfast at the hotel was GREAT.
That seems very good considering location, overall a nice stay and most of staff was friendly.
Also have a free shuttle to and from the airport.
You don't even need a car if you fly in; they'll pick you up at the airport.
The bedroom of our suite was lovely, with a view of the water, a large closet, a big tv and a very comfy bed.
Our room was average in size but featured a comfortable king-sized bed, large window, and a large selection of cable television channels.

The restaurant is small and the breakfast buffet unimpressive, but the buffet price was reasonable.
We loved our breakfast at the Porthole Restaurant - unexpected mix of sweet potatoes in the home fries, awesome foccacia toast and homemade sausage, great service.
Situated right on the water, this hotel is just steps from all the wonderful shops and restaurants that Portland has to offer.
The great location in the center of Portland made easy to walk to loads of shops and ri Ra across from the hotel is a nice Irish bar.

The hotel has a lap pool and fitness area that we did not use.

The wireless internet was down the 1st night for all - a repair was made early the next morning - but otherwise the signal was strong and an easy connect.
