Very conviniet city bus to historic centre, disign room-beautiful reception-nice lobby- i thing is the best value for money hotel in florence.
No doubt when this area and the new palace are complete, this hotel will spike up in cost.
The location is a little way out but you can get bus tickets for 1Euro at the front desk to get into town.
They did not know of a nearby hairdressers location, hours or even if it was open.
Overall, we had a good experience at this location.
It is not in the town-center, but Rifredi railway-station is 5 minutes by taxi.
We chose this hotel because it's a stone's throw away from the airport of Florence.
The rooms are spacious, with the most excellent beds (actually a lseep-system with adjustable air baffle system), a spacious glass desk, safe at notebook-plus size, comfortable clean bathroom with nice bath/shower.
Getting an extra bed into our room was no problem, and wasn't even charged extra for.
The staffs were kind and efficient, and the room and the bathroom SPACIOUS.
Nice bathroom about the size of the US hotel bathrooms.
Pros: Brand new property, very good rooms, great dining options, exceptionally good service.
The restaurant provides high-quality food and wines with the same fine service and the bar is modern but quite fine for business-meetings.
All staff we dealt with, reception, restaurant, bar, house keeping etc, were very friendly and did their utmost to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
There is a business center where I could check e-mail at no charge, a bar and restaurant -- even a library for travelers who have run out of books!
The food turned out to be very good, and we ended up having dinner at the hotel each night.
They were unaware of a nearby supermarkets operating hours.
From the Front Desk staff to the restaurant and bar personnel, we were always greeted warmly, our requests were always attended to quickly and with the highest professionalism.
This hotel is first class, great service, good food, and helpful staff.
During our check-in the staff was rude and lacked service skills.
The hotel was clean, Staff - well they got me a same day reservation into the museums - wonder of wonder.
This hotel (actually every complaint I made was answered with "this is not a hotel, it is a Garden Inn") looks quite attractive in the lobby and bar but it stops right there.
As a bonus, the lobby-library has a lot of books on loan.
All in all, we are extremely pleased with our experince staying at Hilton Garden Inn.
