  5 yo)and the hotel accomodate us with a room with enough space for all. We really appreciate the fridge and the microway owen in the room. Also I used the free internet close to the reception. I did not use the inside pool or the gym but they look neat. My wife also likes it as being close from the airport and highway.

• Spend two days at this location and from check in to check out the stay was outstanding. Room very clean, front desk service very helpful and the food was great.

  This is a great family-oriented hotel located across the airport. The rooms are well appointed with a comfortable bed, microwave and refrigerator. There was no noise coming from the airport during the night, and we heard the first plane fly out around 7:00 am. The restaurant (and room service) offer a varied menu and the food is good. TIP - if you request a room with a king-size bed, you will most likely get this before check-in time. Rooms with queen-size beds are popular and you may have to wait until 4:00 pm.

  The room was a Hampton Inn room but with one or two extras - like a fridge. Very comfortable, nicely fitted out and we had a great view of the airport and the prison next door to it. A feature of this, and other Garden Inns, carefully designed by the architects, is the fact that the entrance door, the bathroom door and the wardrobe doors all bang into each other. If your loved one is in the bathroom with the door open and you want to come in from the corridor, CRASH!

  This was our first experience at a "Hilton Garden Inn". First impressions:- "Looks like a Hampton Inn to me" and "Where's the garden? The lack of care was summed up by this: when I asked for a comments form, I was told "he" (the manager) "doesn't worry about that sort of thing.

  I got my room for an absolute steal on Booked. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, large desk and comforable chair.

  I waited for 20 minutes along with another person on my flight, and we both had to make several calls before they finally sent a shuttle to get us. When I called, they seemed to have forgotten all about us - after the phone rang so many times I thought they would never answer. The hotel itself had a tacky lobby - the whole thing had the feel of a plastic flower bouquet. Even though I had very clearly booked a non-smoking room, they gave me - without any notice whatsoever - a room that smelled like I was sleeping in a giant ashtray. When i called to complain, they refused to move me, saying that they had already given away all their non-smoking rooms. He said that he would "leave a note" for the manager, but he couldn't do anything about it.

  We had an excellent weekend stay at this hotel. The room and linens were clean; beds were comfy. Nice sized room, loved that we had a little fridge in room.

  The Hilton Garden Inn was perfect for the family, my 11-year-old loved the pool and the excercise room, and the 17-year-old enjoyed the pay-per-view. The wi fi worked flawlessly in our room (we have a Mac laptop), but they boot you off the network quickly for inactivity. The room was clean and pretty but not spotless. Service was gracious and friendly, but they were understaffed at breakfast.

  The staff were exceptionally friendly, the room was super clean and the bed was comfy. Love the free wireless internet (pretty common these days). The restaurant was good - had breakfast there and ordered room service another night - surprisingly good dinner.

  Only complaint was a loud refrigerator in my room but I solved that by unplugging it.

  My husband and I stayed at this Hilton Garden for two nights in October 2005 while attending a friend’s wedding. Very nice hotel and even though they are directly across from the Albany Airport (Runway 10/28), aircraft noise was not a problem and in fact it was peaceful and non-urbanized. Friends stayed a few miles away at a Clarion Suites in a very congested area outside of Albany, which was not as nice as the Hilton Garden. One fault with this was that there were no restaurants nearby, though the hotel seemed to have a very nice one (that we did not use since we met up with friends when dining).

  A few problems (minor) were: 1) Hairdryer was not very strong; 2) refrigerator froze our water on the second day; and 3) no vent fan in the bathroom. Number 1 and 2 could be fixed (we just didn’t stay there long enough to request it); as for #3, we just left the bathroom door open so the mirrors didn’t steam up. The shower itself was acceptable and the king size bed not too bad.
