Having never been to Akron, I thought this hotel was in a very good location to restaurants, the mall, and a straight drive to downtown Akron.
The hotel is in a very nice suburban location with free parking.

It is about 30 minutes from the Akron/Canton airport.
I found the rooms to be clean and beds very comfortable.
In the bathroom, the metal railing in the tub was staining the wall, and the drain was gross and open (no strainer).
This time I was upgraded to a suite which I was pretty excited about until I went into the room.
I would have to say that unless you need the space the regular rooms are nicer than the suites.
The bathroom has a separate shower and large bathtub.
We ate breakfast in the restaurant both mornings.
The bathroom obviously recently renovated and the restaurant serves a great buffet for breakfast.

Front desk clerks were very courteous and helpful, the breakfast was good.
The restaurant is one of the best in the area, and maybe the best hotel restaurant I've ever visited.

Although, my husband's preferences (high floor, away from elevator) were followed even though the hotel was sold out or close to it.
The desk staff was prompt and friendly, on the upside: our suite was very clean, the food was truly delicious.
