I booked this hotel on the web because it is close to the convention centre at a reasonable price.
Moreover great views from the hotel room and friendly, at a reasonable price.
Selected the hotel based on the reasonable price and helpful and knowledgeable staff.
I wouldnt stay it is the worst hotel but for the price you pay, it is not the best.
Quiet location & close to Southbank and three of us booked an apartment at Hillcrest as appeared on the map to be handy for the Gabba.
Excellent location and good restaurants nearby.
The location was great and right next to Southbank.
Great location - good proximity to Southbank, a very pleasant place to stay and their high standard of service.
The location of the hotel is close to the boardwalk with beautiful gardens but it is far away from the central and shopping area.
One of us slept on a bed in the main room, the other two in a twin bedded room.
The only quibble I have is that the bed was pretty hard.
Location was excellent, reception staff were very friendly and the bed was very comfortable.
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms were to a very high standard.
Very spacious apartments suitable for families and a nicely warmed spa.
There was also a small restaurant and bar in the hotel.
Great bathroom, restaurant served good simple meals.
The main scoring point was the closeness of the Gabba (15 minutes walk down Vulture Street) and the South Bank with its gardens and restaurants (5-10 minutes walk in the other direction).
The Hillcrest restaurant was gloomy and uninspired.
A short stroll to Southbank saw us eating a great meal that evening.
Staff were friendly - the reception closes at 11pm so if you go out late you have to take the code with you to get in after 11pm.
We looked for an air-con panel to adjust the temperature but couldn't find one so went to reception to enquire.
The hotel staff were gloomy and did not know much about their city.
I stayed in two other hotels during my visit to Australia with very friendly staff so this one was the only one I didnt really like.
Servicing was done daily by pleasant maids.
The hotel itself had a small outdoor pool and spa but it was too cold for me to use these.
The room was a little dated in decor but was well equipped, clean and very spacious.
I had a hotel room which was fairly spacious, clean and had all the standard facilities you would expect plus I had a small balcony.
Rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of wardrobe space - the shower was a good size too.
