      The view of a small garden was delightful sipping tea and enjoying sweets, the traditional style room was very comfortable and clean, the service was terrific and was polite and proper without being overdone. The Hiiragiya was nothing short of fantastic, our suite was gigantic by Western standards humongous by Japanese standards and the pillows were just okay too. The food was classic, the Kaiseki dinner was one of the best meals we had in Japan and the receptionist spoke fluent English, was very helpful and knowledgeable.

      That being said, Hiiragiya is an amazing place and the staff speak very good English and are helpful. The food is excellent day.

      An incredibly peaceful oasis from bustling Kyoto outside and great service. Our rooms were spacious, beautiful, the futon was really comfortable and food was excellent, and the garden was well looked after. The kaiseki dinner was delicious.

      An unforgettable stay, friendly staff and our room overlooked a private, tranquil Japanese garden courtyard. As always, great toilets and food was tasty. The kaiseki dinner was wonderful and delicious.
