Overall it's nothing special, the advertised prices looked expensive (I'd have been upset if I'd been paying for myself), and really, the location is the only thing it has going for it.

As compensation we were offered a fee taxi trip to the hotel.

This stand-off lasted until a taxi arrived.

Our room was on the second floor at the rear of the hotel which was quite spacious with large comfortable bed with clean bed linen.

Toilet in tiny cupboard separate from bathroom and basin, on the other side of the room, seemed a of an bit odd layout.

Nice atmosphere and decor, large room, separate toilets, comfort and facilities are good.

However, some details in the room and bathroom clearly showed that the equipment is getting old and the hotel definitely does not deserve 4 stars.

The bathroom was very nice with a good shower and plenty of hot water and a full range of toiletries were supplied as were numerous towels.

A bar and lounge but beware - and here comes my second grumble, the drinks prices are a joke!

The hotel is located just a short walk from the Grand place with it's restaurants, gift shops and of course those famous chocolate shops.

The breakfast was okay and the staff very helpful.

This hotel is clean, the breakfast is very good.

The ok - Breakfast was satisfactory, however, service was questionable (it appeared that they were overwhelmed with guests - therefore tables weren't prepared quick enough).

The good - Furnishing of room was nicely done, very modern, easy access to internet, reception staff were nice, location for walking into town and avoiding crowds superb.

We insisted that the receptionist phone the manager, but only the answer phone was switched on.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

Outside is nothing special, inside there's a small lobby with reasonably helpful staff.

We asked to see the manager, but were told we could not speak to the manager either.

The hotel also boasts a small fitness room and sauna in the basement.

The Ugly - Totally agree about the noise as it intially appears quiet but with the parking area in front and the renovation of the building opposite it could keep a light sleeper awake but hey at least the builders didn't work on weekends.

The bathroom could of done with a deep clean on showerhead and around tiles.

Bathroom clean and bright but smelt damp and musty.
