Hesperia Lanzarote Hotel

Peaceful location and relaxed atmosphere.

Our room was lovely - room 466 and we couldnt have wished for a better location within the hotel.

The A la Carted beach restraunt is in a stunning location but was closed for the majority of our stay.

We waited up to half an hour to speak to someone when we needed to book a taxi to the airport.

The location is great, away from the tourist madness of Puerto del Carmen and yet only a 20 minute cab ride from the airport.

There was a fab bathroom with great shower and jetted round bath tub with room for two!

The rooms are big, beds huge, bathrooms lovely and I think almost every room has a balcony with some kind of sea/pool view.

Our room, 664, was not quite as described by Sovereign: it was a bit smaller than expected, (the contract said Twin 3 bed with balcony OR Twin with terrace I cannot imagine putting 3 beds in the room!

There was a fight every morning for positions near the smaller pool, beds with a sun shade were at a premium and reminisant of the days when we stayed at lesser quality accommodation and had to get your towel on the bed before the Germans.

Room spacious enough, not sure what people really expect from a hotel room, double sink, bathrobes, and bed was extremely comfortable.

The breakfasts, bar food and the one formal restaurant we used were all excellent.

The hotel has several great bars and three restaurants; although I must confess we did only manage breakfast and lunch at the hotel preferring to walk to the nearby marina to enjoy evening meals.

The only restaurant we ate in was the Botavara – for a buffet breakfast everyday and an Italian themed buffet one evening.

We didn't eat in the hotel (other than at breakfast) as there were so many lovely restaurants in the harbour which is a 15 minute stroll along a well lit pathway by the sea.

We stayed B&B which is a good oprion- breakfasts are very good and plentiful and there are several good restaurants at the port about 10 mins away to eat in an evening The main benefit of this hotel is it is such excellent value for money!

A couple of the reception staff were very helpful in providing a print out of restaurants in the area/making reservations.

The only thing stopping this place from being truly world class is the slightly inconsistent room service, the excellent breakfast area which can briefly run short of favorite items for a time and the lack of a really great concierge.

We did have a lovely holiday, but just wish the staff service was a little better and that the pool area had been more relaxing and quieter.

The fact they let a car rental company fill all of the car parking spaces near to the entrance even when the cars weren't being used.

We had a few days with terrible weather and the spa was a welcome relief, it is not a pool but a proper spa so did not mind paying extra for that.

The breakfast is perfect and spa /pool is great.

The room was very clean and comfortable - we were given a free upgrade without even asking as they had a sea view room available!

The rooms were serviced every day and were absolutley spotless.

The hotel is lovely and our rooms were very modern and clean with a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea.

The rooms were basic (I wouldnt say luxurious) clean, well equipped.

The rooms are elegant, comfortable and spotless.
