Heritage Marina Hotel

The location of this place is really good - pretty safe neighborhood & easy Muni access.

It didn't really bother us, as it was to be expected in a loud location being that close to downtown.

It was in an excellent location and had free covered parking.

The airlines had misplaced my bags at the airport.

I had them book a shuttle for me back to the airport for $15.

The room was clean, but worn, the bathroom tile was chipped, and the toilet made up of odd pieces of many kinds and colors of toilets.

There was a dirty towel thrown in the bathtub, and a dirty comforter on the bed.

Bed bugs, dirt, shabby, dirty towels, toilets that did not work etc.

This means a large, incredibly smelly (SMOKE PERMEATES) room with ratty old furniture, stucco ceiling, wobbly lamps, worn carpets and a bed that has seen a better day.

Our room was clean & the bed was very comfortable.

On the first floor, they have a bar and a restaurant, so that probably accounts for the "partying" noises.

The bar and restaurant have been closed and abandoned leaving empty rooms which give a ghettoish appearance.

For breakfast we went downtown and ate a place called lindas it looked like a 50's diner the food was good and the price resonable.

No in room coffee, no pool, no high speed internet and what a poor excuse for a breakfast bar.

I walked across the street to Union Street and went to the restaurants, coffee shops and stores from Union to Chester Streets and Polk Street shops are behind the hotel on the next block.

The staff were efficient and helpful at the front desk and the breakfast was very good.

Reception staff (with exception of one 'Ike') were totally rude/clueless/useless.

The front desk staff was friendly when I asked if they would move us into an inside room versus the room facing the parking lot.

We stayed 6 Nights at this hotel (it was a disgusting dirty hotel), blood stained bedcovers, filthy carpets (room not cleaned on one day (when we complained to reception was told the maids had not turned up for work that day!

As per the hotel was concerned, it had a beautiful lobby, a lovely pool side and I enjoyed their free continental breakfast.

Free first-come first-served parking with comp-ed breakfast and a small outdoor pool.

The lift and lift lobby were scary and grubby.

Okay the room I shared with my wife had a cabinet door requiring 4 hinges but it only had 2 so was only just hanging on and the carpets were dated but who cares as it is only a place to sleep essentially, and it was clean and tidy.

The room which I stayed in had a view of the pool and although dated, it was clean.

I have to say that the hotel surprised me, as it had a lovely, friendly atmosphere, the rooms were spacious for a budget hotel, and it was very clean.

Still, all she wanted was a clean, servicable room for a few nights in town and we didn't expect the Ritz Carlton anyway.

The rooms are pretty run down and somewhat clean.
