Value, we thought the price we paid was a good value compared to the cost of the other hotels on the island.

Considering the price, the Hapuna Prince is a great hotel for the value.

If you can't afford the food at the hotel, shut up and eat elsewhere, but don't slam the hotel as the food costs the same at pretty much all of the hotels in this price range.

Standard hotel prices, good quality--We ate at the Japanese steakhouse/sushi place and enjoyed the buffet on Friday (and Sat).

Big - located on the beach and great location.

No other hotel comes even comes close to where the Hapuna Prince sits and its location.

The location was also really convenient (about 30 minutes from the airport), and relatively close to some of the sights.

Since I did not rent a car, I depended on sightseeing trips and airport transfers provided by the hotel's taxi service.

Waiting for the water taxi and tram was such a hassle.

We ate a few meals at the pool bar/grill - great food and less expensive than any other restaurant at the hotel.

The Food- we skipped eating at the hotel restaurant besides the pool bar and a morning cafe.

Pool Bar/Restaurant: Mediocre food and service and again total lack of shade unless you are one of the lucky 4 or 5 tables that is under an over hang.

The restaurants are a bit pricy, so after trying a few we did go into Kawaihae about a mile north and ate one night at El Pesto and once at the Harbour Grille for dinner (wonderful fish entrees at both) and breakfast.

The excess to the elevators, lobby, restaurants, pool & beach were all from the center of the complex, so we had an "extremely" long walk to get anywhere - quite inconvenient & tiring.

So we found ourselves having to take an elevator down, walk a path, and a elevator up again to get to our room from the lobby or the Terrace, where breakfast was served.

They left notes and orchids when there was to be some pruning done, when the spa was getting repaired and the air conditioner getting fixed at the gym.

We found the room on floor 7, block 5, to be perfectly clean and tidy and well maintained.

Housekeeping was wonderful, they made sure the room was spotless each time, if you left stuff oul, they would arrange it nicely on the tables.

The room was clean, but had a distinct hotel-ish smell.

The room was clean, large, and nicely furnished.

The ocean-view room was spacious, and clean with a great balcony.

Hapuna Beach is gorgeous and the pool area is nice. The hotel staff tried their best to help you and the rooms are large and spacious. Drinks in the reef lounge are very good.

Beach is beautiful, the view of the ocean as I mentioned before is Amazing and the hotel grounds are expansive and lovely. The staff is attentive and the water is warm and clear. We liked this restaurant the best out of all at both resorts, good choices are Cafe Pesto and the pool is very big.

Has superb views, pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park and the best beach of Big Island. Uncrowded place and reasonable prices. Great snorkling nearby and the lobby is beautiful.

The staff is not overly friendly or gracious, internet should be free and the elevators are very poorly spaced. The food is ridiculously overpriced and would have been nice to return from dinner.

Large sandy area, great beach and some quite nice smorkling nearby. Very scenic hotel, a good view of the roofline of the ocean front building and the staff is always helpful and polite. Rooms are newly renovated and the small refrigerator is useful.

Beach are lovely, the location is probabbly the best on all of Kona and even an adorable wild pig on the Hapuna golf course. Service are much better and the bathrooms are phenomenal - very large. Bar stools would have been great, the restaurant is good and the pool is nice.

The beach is wonderful and view are amazing The pool is gorgeous. Wonderfully designed hotel is open and the staff is great. Rooms are very clean, bar closes at their own time schedules - so best to order early and the breakfast buffet is also good.

Beach are very nice, the views on the top two floors are fabulous and i liked the open air feel to the hotel. Staff: In general they are neutrally friendly and the rooms are great - quite spacious. The food is delicious, excellent golf facilities.

The beach were gorgeous, the view of the ocean were wonderful and this was the best ever hotel among we have been before. The staff was friendly and room was amazing. Towel service was great, the food was very good and the pool was also very nice.

The beach was beautiful, the view from our private balcony was incredible and the hotel was luxurious without being pretentious. The staff was excellent and the rooms were large and comfortable. Hakone restaurants was good, the dinners we had were the BEST we have ever had and the pool was similarly wonderful.

Great beach, beautiful view and was a very good value for the price we obtained. Staff was very courteous and the rooms were luxurious. The food was tasty and the infinity pool was large.
