Hampton Inn & Suites Saint Petersburg Downtown

I really liked this hotel for its location in downtown St.

Great location for food shopping and a few drinks.

I still love the luxury of the Vinoy, but have to admit that by the end of the long weekend, I was completely won over by the charm and location of this lovely hotel.

One other thing that impressed us was on our final day after checking out of the hotel, we had several hours before needing to go to the airport and they held our bags for us while we enjoyed our final hours out in town (bag free)!

There is even a free bus to take you to the end of the pier.

Our room was great bed as always in a hampton so so comfortable, the free breakfast was ample and varied.

My confirmation was for two queen beds, but when I checked in, they had managed to get my preference - one king bed.

The staff were helpful and friendly, check-in was easy and quick, the bathroom had a good size tub.

Although there is not a restuarant or lounge in the hotel proper, the Ceviche restaurant and bar are located just a few steps from the hotel entrance.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of pretty much everything - grocery/drug stores, numerous restaurants (both casual and fine dining), nightlife, a day spa, shops and the Baywalk entertainment complex.

Pete -- on Tampa Bay, and a block or two to every major tourist attraction, shopping, museum, restaurant and bar.

If you're unable to eat breakfast there, they offer a free to-go breakfast bag to send you on your way.

Many restaurants and eateries to chose from and outside dining is a must.

The lobby sundry was very convenient, the staff was incredibly nice and the concierge went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.

Great service from the staff, suites clean and the free breakfast was ample and varied.

Don't take the front desk staff's word on anything.

The Manager does a superb job of running a top notch hotel, the Hampton staff is extremely accommodating and rooms are spacious and quiet.

Check-out were super easy, pool was nice and warm.

We could hear the "ding" of the elevator everytime it came to the 2nd floor and our fellow guests were completely uncaring about standing there and talking, laughing, etc.

Valet parking is $10/day for overnight guests and the valets were very helpful.

Friendly atmosphere, excellent customer service and our room was spacious and clean.
