Hampton Inn & Suites Charlottesville-At The University

The location is very close to the university.

Great stay -- clean hotel -- super location!

The location is superb, the place overall could not be much better and the lobby is great.

Public transport very organized and easy; park your car a few steps away and leave it there.

While we were staying a tour bus delivered a group.

High quality Hampton Inn room, but nothing particularly special---suites are slightly nicer with nicer bed frames---still rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Our room was really a suite with sitting room, FULL kitchen, bath and king bedroom.

The room was very nice and welcoming, comtaining a gas (I think) fireplace, a small kitchen fully stocked with a small family's needs, and a clean living room with a pullout bed sofa and TV.

Our King room was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Location was good, most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel and the staff was attentive and kind.

They offer hot beverages in the breakfast area all the time and the "sweet shop" had free magazines available.

Pizza shop and chinese restaurant are across the street, very convenient.

Sunday evening my husband and I took a walk to the downtown mall area, which had lots of interesting shops and restaurants.

The breakfast was a bit crowded due to a swim team who were all eating at the same time.

I have to say the immediate neighborhood lacked some charm but just a few blocks away is the beautiful University of Virginia and many attractive shops and restaurants.

The front desk people were friendly and helpful, all the employees were wonderful--even the housekeeping staff took time to stop and say hello, how are you.

Helpful and efficient staff at the front desk, the regular rooms are nothing fancy.

Location was good, this hotel was a pleasant surprise as we did not expect to enjoy as much as we did and the front desk staff were nice.

Basically ON campus with great service, professional staff and very good breakfast.

In the lobby there is also a computer with internet for guest use.

Lovely lobby, nice people and all and all a good experience.

It's in walking distance to the Corner, the campus, the hospital, and there's a free shuttle the loops around town, stopping at the downtown mall and the campus, too.

Staff were very friendly, the room was exceptionally clean and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good.

The hotel was quiet, the service was prompt and our King room was clean.
