Lets face it - almost all of the Inner Harbor hotels are overpriced, tired, and in need of revamping, so the brand new Hampton Inn is a pleasant change.
On the whole though, comparing the price and quality to other Inner Harbor hotels, this new Hampton is a great deal.
All the staff were friendly and helpful but at $369 plus state and city tax for one night, this hotel is overpriced.
This location exceeded my fondest expectations.
Great location very near the inner harbor (about 2 blocks).
The breakfast was great, the location was superb, and the hotel staff was awesome.
I would reccomend taking a taxi if you are staying a long time - you can walk to many food and shopping areas (if you do not mind getting hit up by homeless people every block).
My husband and I really wanted to see a movie while on vacation, and took the subway out to the suburbs.
We had a 2 bedroom (queen beds) and sofa bed in our room.
Our room was very clean, clean bed linens and spotless towels in the bathroom.
The sofa bed was located in the same room as the two beds - there was not a separate room, which we would prefer.
Our room (# 321- King Bed) was also great… Vaulted ceilings, feather top bedding, modern décor.
None of the suites have seperate bedrooms, and both myself and colleagues were bumped out of our originally confirmed suites into standard rooms until we complained.
Good choice of food for breakfast was included in the price.
The comp breakfast was good and there was always 2 hot dishes(ex:sausage and waffle sticks or canadian bacon and eggs,etc.
The first morning we went down for the breakfast buffet just to get some coffee, because it was like minutes before the buffet was to close.
The free “on the house hot breakfast” was great; we all found something appealing to have for breakfast, and that can be difficult when you have young children!
Thats a pretty nice offering for a free breakfast buffet - eggs, sausages, breads, biscuits, bagels, cereals, fresh fruits.
Some of the Front Desk staff could use some brushing up on customer service.
I had problems with check-in and the front desk staff entered my reservation incorrectly and checked me out one night early.
In the lower lobby there was a pool,small gym,and comp computers to check your emails.
We didn’t have time to check out the pool or fitness areas.
Our jacuzzi didnt work, so they comp'd our room (awesome) and took off the parking charges!
There is complimentary wired (cable provided) and wireless Internet access.
They have a Cat 5e patch cord secured to the wall for those who wish to use wired high speed.
The lobby is spacious, the staff is friendly and very accomodating, the room is large and clean.
Bathroom floor was also VERY clean(no hairs from previous guests!
Location was nice and the room was clean.
It is also very new (in an old renovated building), comfy, clean, quiet rooms, close to everything downtown, a tad further out than the giant hotels (Marriott, Renaissance, etc).
The bathroom was also spacious & very clean- granite countertops.
