Hampton Inn Newburgh/West Point

My room was generally clean, except that it seemed like they rushed through the bathroom.

Comforter on bed was in need of a run through a washing machine due to stains, but sheets seemed clean and crisp.

The staff was "OK", the hallway carpets need to be pulled up and replaced and the heating system in my room did not work.

Water was pouring from the ceiling and the hallway was starting to become flooded, when we were rushed to get out of our rooms and into the hallway, which was flooded.

I don't know exactly the details but water kept pouring down the ceiling for a long time, even after we went back the second time to pick up our luggage and move to another room.

The free breakfast has good and had long hours.

Pleasant Front Desk, breakfast in the morning is great and free.

Breakfast in this hotel was far below Hampton Inn standards.

Some stuff was not fresh at all, and the breakfast items were packed in two small counters.

Nearest restaurant is a 24-hour joint across the parking lot, and a poor one at that.

When I arrived at the check in, front desk staff looked like they hated being there.

We were greeted by a very cheerfull and pleasant Front Desk.

When we asked at the Front Desk for recommendationsfor dinner we were told to go to Cosimos and given a coupon for10% off.

The only way to get to the front desk was by walking outdoors through the parking lot at the back of the hotel, and into the front lobby.

I found this to be a noisy hotel, nestled right up against a ramp of the New York Thuway with a lot of truck traffic literally looming over the top of the parking lot.

The indoor pool and hottub were also very clean and enjoyable.

The wireless internet was quick and free.

My room was generally clean, the food was very good.
