Best hotel in eau claire, particularly good price and the desk staff was very nice.
There aren't a ton of options here, so the Hampton's location and general condition of the hotel coupled with very friendly staff made the stay worthwhile.
As is the case at most Hampton Inns the room was clean; the bed comfortable and the heating (was a cold day) adequate.
The rooms and lobby were clean, room service prompt and breakfast buffet was more than adequate.
Beds are comfortable, Internet access is always reliable and the bathrooms are pretty clean.
The hotel was nice and clean, the housekeeping staff wrote a personal note welcoming us, the bed was ridiculously comfortable.
9/02/2008 I was appalled when I pulled my sheets down and found that my sheets had not been changed, then when I looked close at something crawling, I found bed bugs, then I find out that they have an infestation of them.
Not a lot of eating choices within walking distance (there is a restaurant at the Holiday Inn across the street), but there are a lot of choices within a few miles.
Additionally breakfast in morning was also great.
The breakfast offered a fairly good variety of hot.
Breakfast is standard Hampton with one hot item and the usual cold cereals, toast, donuts, juice, and coffee.
Breakfast adequate to get you started in the am.
The front desk staff was super friendly, the room also sat near in the non-smoking hallway and the breakfast was very good.
Staff was friendly, the high-speed internet was truly high speed.
Staff was not very friendly or professional.
