  Clean rooms, excellent service, good breakfast options (considering it is complimentary), even when they say it has been recently renewed, my room had some worn out signals in the bath room and the beds were jumpy.

  But the rooms are cheap, clean, and there is a happy hour. There is nothing happy about it because the lobby is filled with mid-level sales people talking [-] and eating Velveeta covered steal tortilla chips. But the beer, the free beer is ice cold, plentiful, and you can snag a few for your room.

  Grab a few ice cold beers and some Texas style bar-be-que turn on SportsCenter and you might just forget how bad your life sucks.

  This location is right next door to a huge night club (250+ seat capacity), if you room is on that end of the building you may have a problem with noise. The Hampton Walnut Hill is clean and recently renovated and the staff was professional. But over the course of my four night stay they kept the room clean and were responsive to my requests. All rooms have the Hampton bed, a real plus for the $70 a night price. Furnishings were new and the room was in good repair. As this is Dallas there are many fine restaurants within 20 minutes drive.

  Caution booking this location, the neighborhood is rather dirty and in my opinion not very safe. The complementary breakfast was typical for a Hampton Inn, go with the brown bag to go it was more satisfying and fresher. Lobby is recently redecorated though low ceilings make it feel cramped, not a place to hang out for any time. Other than a very dingy national chain breakfast restaurant in the parking lot there are no other dining options within two miles.

  The recent remodel in the lobby and the new carpet thru out was needed, but is a nice and inviting. The new Hampton Bed linens are as good as a more expensive hotel, and the staff at this particular Hampton are extremely pleasant. Still some good restaurants for every taste very close to the hotel.

  The highlights of this Hampton are its afternoon happy hour and recently remodeled breakfast area and lobby. The staff members are generally friendly and helpful; although in one instance, my check-in took an extraordinarily long time (despite having checked in online before arriving).

  The rooms have the new Hampton bed linens, but are in need of new carpeting and drapes -- both show their age.

  The staff during our check-in, breakfast, and check-out were extremely friendly. They gave good directions and advice on where to eat. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. A nice selection, fresh food, clean food. The only downside was that they did not have a public computer for us to use. They had high speed internet connections, but you had to have your own computer. They did offer to let us use their office computer to print out our boarding passes, which was also very nice.
