Hale Pau Hana Kihei - 基黑

The carpet was dirty, the entrance was dirty and the king-size bed was made up of two twin beds.

I can make my own bed and prefer not to be invaded daily, they did empty the bins and give us clean towels every other day and changed the bed linen once while we were there - some wouldn't think that was enough, I thought it was perfect!

Upon arriving we discovered old food in the refrigerator, dirty and stained carpets, mold in the bathroom, torn furniture and un cleaned linens on one of the beds.

We rented a 1 bedroom/1 bath unit in the low rise building, and it was steps from the beach.

Bathroom tub looks rusty and there's no fan.

Everything is close by for shopping, and a couple of cozy restaurants--Moose Mcgillicuddy's and Fred's Mexican restaurant is within a block of Hale Pau Hana.

So what you don't get is daily maid service (they do have it every other day though), modern or fancy furnishings, or a bar and restaurant on site.

Perfect beach with great snorkeling at both ends of large beach, very well maintained complex, helpful staff, plenty of shops/restaurants nearby.

There are plenty of restaurants well within walking distance, or you can cook at home, Foodland is about 1.

While researching this vacation, one thing we looked for were places with a poolside bar and a jacuzzi like some of the larger hotels offer.

The only good thing about this place was the view, the staff was great and friendly.

Location on the beach is great and the staff is wonderful.

The staff was great and friendly, especially Kaspar, who makes you feel at home the minute you get there.

There's alot of conveniant stores and a Denny's right across, that has friendly service.

The pool is not a fancy pool like some of the big resorts, but if you're staying at a condo in Kehei none of the places have really fancy pools.

Because there is no parking lot for Kamaole II, only street parking, Kamaole II does not get as crowded, so it becomes a semi-private beach for Hale Pau Hana.

We received fresh towels every couple of days, the condo units in the rental pool are well displayed on the HPH website.

The staff were extremely friendly, the room was clean and the kitchen was super.

The beach was extremely user friendly - good waves for playing, comfortable and the view more than made up for anything else, room was clean.
