The location is very convenient as it is very close to the Salamanca precinct for restaurants, the market and getting to various tours. It is located very close to shops. Staff for the most part were friendly and helpful were possible.

The heating in our first room was automated so it felt overly warm all the time. It would have been optimal to have control over the temperature settings based on our personal needs. The food at the hotel was very average and not worth the price they're charging. The room was clean and fairly well presented though the bathroom was a little worse for wear.

The staff were really friendly and the location was great The hotel is pretty too.

The bed in room 315 was really bad and sunk in like a hammock. 2 bad nights of sleep!!! The room lighting was too dim to read a news paper. More lights needed. Some general wear and tear could be fixed around a hotel, bit of paint here and there and some fresh flowers in lobby and not those old silk ones!

Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. Good central location for access to city activities. Nice lounge area downstairs with view on to the street outside. Room ambience pleasant and good pillows...

Lighting from the lamps in the room was a little dark when it came to finding items in suitcases, no central overhead light. Off street parking was full when we arrived, car left in street at front of hotel was convenient for us but car was 'keyed' down one side overnight which was very disappointing. Stairs were a little difficult for my companion with little sets of them going up and down along passage ways.

Convenience to Hobart's city and waterfront area.

No parking made getting our luggage to the room difficult.

Locality, prices reasonable. We also stayed at this hotel 10 days earlier for 2 nights - our room was very, very small.

We stayed in room 110. The room was directly above the kitchen exhaust system. During the evenings when the exhaust system was operating the outside wall of our room vibrated which also vibrated the mirror on the wall. This would not be good for such an old building. We had to ring reception and complain about the noise each evening.

Gracious 19th centuary hotel which has been well maintained. Large rooms with heigh ceilings in a very good location. The quietest CBD hotel I have stayed at in 10 years and I am always on the move. Gracious helpfull and professional staff. Will stay again.

Bit disappointed that we weren't actually staying at the actual Hadley's site. The apartments were on a different site to Hadleys hotel. They were still in a good position and well equipped with everything we needed. Very happy with the accommodation.

This was a historic hotel. The location was excellent for a visit in the Hobart area. City sights were within walking distance and public transportation was available nearby for out of town excursions.

It should be noted this is an older property that is not as well maintained as would be expected. We were given a room in the back of the hotel (perhaps because we pre-paid at a lower rate). The room was poorly lighted, had torn curtains, and there was mildew on the bathroom ceiling. Hallway carpet was very worn and there were several place where the wallpaper had worn off.

The location is great and it is a beautiful old building.

We couldn't get access to our rooms until after 2.00 and as we had driven from Devonport after an overnight ferry ride, we were exhausted. Also, I don't like the practice of having the price of the bill held 'pending' on my mastercard. This meant that I was out of pocket for the cost of the room for 5 days.

The colonial style, architecture, the bed was comfortable, the history of the hotel. It seems there were more minuses than pluses but it was reasonably comfortable and an okay place to stay.

Room was small. Heater didn't work. Fridge didn't work for four days and wasn't fixed or switched out but after a second complaint on the fourth day we were upgraded for our remaining two nights. No toothpaste, razor, comb, toothbrush etc. The bed was made without a change of sheets. Tv needs to be upgraded.
