Beautiful views: The hotel is situated in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the mountains and countryside. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Slow service: Unfortunately, the service at the hotel was quite slow. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and at times it felt like we were waiting forever.

Welcoming, informative and helpful staff, a beautiful and peaceful location with a lovely pool an hour from the coast. Clean, cool and spacious rooms, more like a cottage each with its own olive tree to sit under, read a book and be lulled by only the sounds of birds and cicadas. Good food served in the restaurant or on the terrace and the offer (taken up) of choosing a regional menu served when friends joined us for lunch. A memorable morning was spent with a gentle horse ride through the countryside arranged by the hotel. Gaucin is just 5 km with good restaurants and tapas bars and Gaucin station is only 4 km with a modern service to Ronda 50 mins away or Algeciras and all villages in between. From the top of the drive there's a stunning view across the lower hills to Algeciras, Gibraltar, the Med across to Ceuta (70km as the crow flies) and the Atlas and Rift mountains in north Africa. We stayed for two weeks with a car and could easily have stayed longer. The days were hot but the mountain air dry and clear and cooler nights with a/c in rooms if required.

The location was ideal as it's extremely remote and we thouroughly enjoyed our afternoon by the pool overlooking the mountains.

Unfortunately, we were dissapointed with our accomodation. We were under the impression we were staying in a junior suite, however, it turned out to be a 1 bedroom villa. The ground floor was extremely dark and the nasty damp smell was very uncomfortable and we could not sit in this room. The bedroom upstaires was acceptable. We could not eat the defrosted and what appeared to be microwave cooked fish. No waiter was present at breakfast and we had to look for him after 20 minutes, to order coffee.

During our weekend getaway, we enjoyed the stunning views of the mountains and forests, which made us feel like we were immersed in nature. We also appreciated the excellent service of the staff who ensured our comfort throughout our stay. The location, although slightly remote, was perfect for a peaceful retreat, and the traditional dishes offered in the restaurant were fantastic.

The accessibility of the hotel for people with disabled requirements was not adequate, and the bathroom facilities did not provide enough space which could be uncomfortable for some. the road to the hotel was difficult to navigate and required extra caution.

The hotel is set within a particullarly beautiful area. We flew to Gib and the drive took about an hour and a half. The hotel is set in the mountains about 50 minutes from Sabinillas and the road is good. The hotel has a very laid back feel..there is a resident dog, fab and horses roam. There are some lovely villages to visit in the area where you can eat well and relax. A total chill out!!

Great location, and relaxed atmosphere. Close to Gaucin for town visits and also close to the mountains of southern Spain for walking and great vistas.

Breakfast choice was limited.
