Grt Grand Hotel Chennai - 钦奈

Rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed with emperor bed, sofa and chair, kettle, minibar and hairdryer.

The room was a decent size, clean and great decor with a nice bathroom.

4 people checking 1 person in and still it took 90 minutes with lost reservations, wrong rooms, room delays due to previous late check outs (this was 9pm!

Arguably, it is not very Indian but then, you can just look across the windows (my room was on the top floor) and behold the view of the city.

However, you expect that when you are paying $240 a night (for a suite mind you) for a hotel in India.

The lobby is large and spacious with two restaurants - a general buffet and an Indian speciality restaurant.

The food in both were excellent - especially the Indian restaurant where the dishes were extremley tasty and some of the best we have had in India!

Restaurant but the quality of the food I have rate 4 on a scale of 10.

The in-house Indian restaurant was absolutely superb, both food and decor.

The service and staff was good and flexible and you can tell that the place is under good management.

Very friendly staff for room service and lobby.

Two glass elevators carry guests up and down from the lobby, much like astronauts on their way to and from the launch pad.

Recently renovated GYM has brand new treadmills.

The lobby was a also a great place to just hang out and relax.

High-speed wireless avail\able but dropped out frequently.

GRT gets the best hotel vote for me now that they offer free wireless internet throughout the hotel.

Rooms are also large, very cosy and clean.

Rooms are large even compare to American standards and hotel is always clean.

Overall the rooms were spacious, clean and nice.

Rooms are large, spotless, service is very friendly (albeit a bit - silently - pushing for tips), the buffet restaurant is nice and reasonably priced for such a hotel.
