  The room had a nice 42" LCD TV with easily accessible ports to plug in your camcorder or digital camera. The bathroom was a little smaller than I expected but adequate.

  Forgot to bring my In Focus projector and asked front desk if they had one to rent. I said ok, then they charged me $200 plus $44 A/V service and additional $14. I realize this was my fault that I had to rent, but this charge is excessive for inferior equipment. 95 per day for internet, that is not wireless.

  We were welcomed by two very professional ladies at the front desk, who offered to let us tour the facility and two rooms before deciding to stay. Our room and beds were very comfortable and quiet! We loved the outdoor pool area and the volleyball court. The best treadmill that I have every ran on with a personalized tv screen for each piece of equipment. The temperture of the room was just right, plenty of towels, hand cleanser, and fruit and water for no extra fee.

  While it is a resort type property, I was not there long enough to make use of any of the more resort-like activities - spa, golf course, pools, etc. Arrived late at night and due to the hour there was no wait at the front desk to check in. The room was clean and spacious enough, but the decor seemed out of date. The bed had a different type mattress than the usual Marriott bed, but I actually liked it just as much as the normal Mattress.

  Went up to my room and while not disappointed, I wasn't impressed either. I had hoped to order room service or eat something when I arrived but everything except the bar closed at 12 (you could get drinks until 1).

  All of the employees were so nice and helpful-we had no idea how to get anywhere, they gave us directions, recommended plaes to eat, etc. We both went to the spa for massages and facials and had a great experience there as well. It was so relaxing and we really felt like the only two in the spa-both services were wonderful and reasonably priced. We had dinner one night at the mansion on the property, very nice restaurant, a little pricy but the small/simple menu was great and the food wonderful. The hotel itself is close to all major highways and the airport is less then 10 miles away. We did rent a car, you really need one if you are planning on exploring.

  We could not get a good flight into Lexington from Boston so we flew in into CVG and opted to take a car service vs. Front desk staff was quick and personable. Check in was a breeze and there was always personnel around in the lobby to call a cab or answer a question. We lucked out with a corner handicapped accessible room w/ windows on both sides and a large deck with a table and chairs. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the room was modern, clean and fresh. We both indulged in 80 minute massages ~ the staff was really friendly and the spa provided for a relaxing and calm environment.

  Very nice property - rooms are small, but nicely furnished. Extremely comfortable beds and quiet hotel - I slept great - not always the case for me when on the road. If you want to sightsee you will need a car as everything is spread out and a medium priced cab drive away. A shuttle system would have been nice, as there is no local transportation available other than cabs.

• Overall, we liked the hotel but found the rooms to be small for such a nice place. Our second room was on the end of the hall and so had a large balcony with. The lobby and public areas are attractive, and the staff is pleasant and generally helpful.

  The room was not unlike a room you would find at any other hotel. The breakfast was very good, fresh coffee, sausage biscuits, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and an assortment of pastries. Room service was through one of the 3 resturants in the hotel and was also a little pricer for what you got. The hotel is nicely decorated and the room was quiet, they do have a lounge in one of the restaurants that stays open until around 2am on the weekends, and they offer shuttles to the airport and keeneland.

  Overall, I am pleased but I do consider my room overpriced. I would probably not stay here again simply because I live nearby and would not mind spending half of what I did at the Griffin Gate for another mid-range hotel that offers the same amentities without the high price tag.
