Grey Street Hotel - 泰恩河畔纽卡斯尔

The central location was excellent, the hotel was located brilliantly close to the shopping centrum and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

Perfect location, the Hotel was centrally located and all the staff were so friendly.

The location is good and the hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Newcastle centre.

Our room was really funky; flat screen plasma telly, fully tiled marble bathroom, clinique (well I think it was clinique) toiletries, a massive, comfy bed, full length windows, a view over the central street of Newcastle.

My room was very luxurious, huge soft bed and the decor was well designed and modern.

The bathroom had a decent sized bath and lots of room to spread out in.

That soon turned to disappointment on arrival at our room - we have stayed in hotels all over the country and I can honestly say this was the smallest I have ever seen - there was just about room to walk round the bed.

The width of room number 1 is the same as the height (an absolute cube) and the bed wasn't even a double, it was a single and a half - smaller than we have at home.

The staff at the attached restaurant were pretentious and rude and I felt quite uncomfortable dining there for breakfast.

The sister restaurant serves great food both at dinner and breakfast and the service here is exemplorary.

The shower was lovely and the restaurant/bar was also great.

The attached bar and restaurant are modern, hip and happening but equally relaxing and absorbing.

Staff were very pleasant and we had a fantastic breakfast in the Living room restaurant.

The reception staff were lovely and the other facilities - I've never before had internal stairs to negotiate in a room.

Staff were extremely friendly and the receptionist I spoke to was not at all sympathetic or helpful in responding to my concerns.

The hotel was very clean and with triple glazing in the bedroom this helped as the hotel is right in the middle of the city.

My only criticism was that the beige carpets in the hallways and rooms is looking grubby even though only a year or so old - needs a steam clean.

The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very tasty.

On our second day they forgot to clean our room and nobody excused for.
