  Nice hotel redolent and beautiful old building. Central position very convenient and the public rooms are attractive monuments to the confidence of our Victorian ancestors. Hereford is a lovely town, easy access to Cathedral Services and the receptionist checked us in didn't say much.

  Our bathroom had a bad smell of damp, lack of comfortable bar and toilet rolls covered in dust from being stored so long. We might have been tempted to use the restaurant a menu had been available on the stand outside.

  Great location, beautiful countryside and varied restaurants nearby. Very good value and the building is interesting and historic. The staff are helpful and nice to have two armchairs in the room.

  Keep the fantastic old style, lamp didn't work and toilet seat fitted wrongly. The evening menu tries to catch the customer by staying at a low price, the service is not Swiss trained and the male receptionist turned up in the morning waring a suit.

  Convenient location plus car park, very good for central hereford town shopping and use mobility scooter - did not make any fuss just did everything to make my stay as pleasant as for everyone else. The bedroom was large furnished in style and reception staff were excellent. Tv was poor and one of the bar men was very friendly.

  Toilet were marked and the restaurant was cheap and cheerful. The receptionist was very helpful.

  The position is excellent, this hotel is extremely convenient situated as is in the centre of Hereford and a fine historic building set in an ideal location in the city. Staff trying to do their best and the beds didnt have duvets only one sheet. Comfy sofas in the lounge and the hot buffet looked well past its prime so we avoided. Average bar would be better they supported local cider producers rather than the Magners apple pop.

  The location is good and the bar for use in the daytime the hotel to make much better use of facilities through better management. The Green Dragon building is old and interesting, the staff are always friendly professional and helpful. Public rooms are great and excellent breakfast for a fraction of the price.

  Restaurant area were updated and the hotel has wonderful talking floors - just wish there was a ghost or two wandering around or appearing every so often. Staff were freindly, the receptionist upgraded to a higher paid job and the bed room was a good size. The bar was welcoming and pillow cases were nice and clean.

  The location was central, we enjoyed our stay in its comfortable rather old fashioned surroundings and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. In addition the bed was comfy and towels were clean otherwise I would have left. The cafetiere coffee was good, the receptionist on arrival was great.

  High Street and good location. A lovely hotel and surounded by beautiful buildings. Flexible and varied dining at sensible prices, the excellent value for money buffet style "Eat as much as you like" evening meals.

  Receptionist not friendly at all, requests made for additional services were either ignored or forgotten and the bed was extremely uncomfortable - suffering from an aching back. Adjoined the extractor to the kitchen so was noisy, breakfast was adequate.

  The high street and ideal location. Female hotel receptionist was friendly and staff were very helpful. Room was large, towels were clean and the Indian food in the restaurant's buffet was very good.

  Location is very good, just hotels should be like and as the actual building is really nice. The staff are pleasent helpful, the dining room is excellent and the restaurant serves classic boarding school fare.
