During my recent business trip to Rethymno, Crete, my director chose the Grecotel Creta Palace as our accommodation. And I must say, it did not disappoint. One of the highlights was the large patio that led onto a good-sized plunge pool. This area was beautifully adorned with a strip of lush green lawn and private gazebos, providing a relaxing and picturesque view of the beach. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of meetings and enjoy the refreshing Mediterranean breeze.
There's not much options for food outside the hotel, and the specialty restaurants are too expensive and must be made a reservation in advance.

The staff was very attentive and well trained. The spa was impressive. The alternate restaurants offered a high quality experience. We had no experience with the main restaurant.
The prices were high given the facilitees, rooms, amenities and setting. There are many places around the globe that would provide a substantially higher caliber experience for the same or lower price.

We got great value for our money with a beautiful room and excellent service from the staff. The location was convenient, and everyone at the hotel treated us incredibly well.
The breakfast menu could have offered more options for vegans.

The staff at Grecotel Creta Palace was definitely the highlight of the trip. I also liked that there was evening entertainment almost every night.
The hotel described the room as "Elegant room, decorated in gold, silver and ivory shades with stone or wooden floors. Ultra comfortable bed surrounded by handcrafted furniture and Italian lighting. They all enjoy sea views, while the sofa in the lounge area can sleep one child. Modern conveniences include 32-inch flat-screen tv. Bathroom with glass mosaic and marble tiles." The room was not "elegant" and did not have stone or wooden floors...we had carpet. The bed was very uncomfortable and we had to request a foam topper be added so we could sleep. I also didn't like that the beach was described as "sandy" when in fact it was rocky from about 10 feet before you got into the water. It hurt my feet so badly that I had to purchase water shoes.

We had an amazing experience at Grecotel in Crete. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with the friendliest smiles and made us feel right at home. The central pool and the pristine beach were both stunning and made it easy for us to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel's main lobby was also impressive, with its open and spacious design that allowed plenty of natural light to fill the space. It truly created a wonderful atmosphere that perfectly matched the location.
Can't fault the property in any way! 😊

I chose this hotel for my business appointment because it offers a well-equipped conference room with renowned professional service and traditional Cretan hospitality. The facilities were excellent and conducive to productivity.
One service that I missed for my work was an on-site business center. It would have been convenient to have access to computers, printers, and other office equipment for any last-minute needs.

Amazing outdoor training with fitness master, table tennis lessons, exceptional staff, great food, nice room, beautiful pool and beach.
Felt very cared for, no complaints at all.

The hotel is located right on the beach, offering beautiful views and easy access to the water. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious with a wide variety of options. One great advantage of staying here during Christmas was the festive decorations and activities offered, including a Christmas market and live entertainment.
The rooms were a bit dated and in need of renovation. the pool area was crowded and it was difficult to find a spot to relax.

This hotel really exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed with sparkling wine and exquisite desserts. The staff was attentive and made us feel like royalty. The Spa & wellness centre offered a variety of exclusive amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and Jacuzzi. The outdoor swimming pool was pristine, with plenty of sun loungers and beach umbrellas. The location was perfect, with direct beach access and stunning views from the sun terrace.
The only minor issue we encountered was with the restaurant. While the dinner was delicious and varied, the buffet breakfast lacked variety.

Located close to a local supermarket and several restaurants, visitors can walk 1 km to the nearest public beach. The hotel offers fantastic service, with housekeeping twice daily and friendly staff who are always willing to help. Rooms are spacious, with beautiful balconies and stunning views of the sea. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast and wide variety of food at the open-air restaurant. The hotel includes an impressive spa, beach bar, and numerous pools.
The hotel’s entertainment options could be improved.

Spending Xmas at this resort was amazing! The weather was great and the atmosphere was so festive. The breakfast and lunch buffets had a great selection of food, including some traditional holiday dishes. The hotel's location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and only a few minutes from town. We also loved that the hotel had a spa where we could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.
That the pool area was always crowded and finding a sunbed was a challenge. the hotel had limited activities for children during the holidays, which was a bit disappointing for families with young kids.
