The room was large and there was hotspot internet. Cairns aquarium was around the corner. The hotel was not far from Cairns Central train station:)))

i recommend you to eat at fusion art, that is set 100 metres away. large room with all necessities. perfect for city break.

Good location and reasonable price

The room is dirty and furniture is old. There were at least 2 roaches in the room during my 6 day stay.

Location but not much else.

There was a door outside to a balcony type thing and the door kept opening. Pretty old and rundown. Could be cleaner but could be worse. I've stayed at six different places so far in Cairns and I won't be returning... Weird vibe and could spend money better elsewhere.

My room had all the basics, just as I wanted them: it was clean and functional and comfortable, located right in the city. I was attending/performing in a music festival, so only needed the room as a nest at the end of each day. The staff were quietly friendly and efficient.

I did not like the manner of the lady at the front desk on my arrival , she was very rude , very rude that myy stay was not good at all , there was hair in my bathroom from previous people , the price was on a special , but after my stay at down town hotel , I would rather pay a much higher price to stay any where else but there , I had booked a family room and two twin shared room, and was only given 3 twin shared rooms ,

The hotel is central.

We got off to a very shakey start. We were given a horrible room which was not even secure. After a nasty confrontation, we were changed to quite a nice room and it was OK after that.

Great location - that's about the only good thing about it

There was no "maid service" sign to put on the door knob, so the room wasn't cleaned. The lobby internet hot spot is not air-conditioned. The lobby washroom was absolutely filthy.

No cleaning, had no blanket when i arrive and it was everything verz dirty

needs renovations all over. I killed one coacroch on bedside night table. We only stayed one night instead of 4. Not a pleasant experience, yet owner was understandable. YOU get what you pay for.

An old and cheap hotel with an excellent location. In the shopping center and 3 minutes walk from the offices and port of the ships to the reef barrier.

The furniture and room in general was battered and old. They have changed the name of the hotel (previously the Great Northern Hotel), but they have not renew the inside. A little lack of control and coordination on the reception.

Even though I requested to clean the room, no cleaning was done and no new towels were give to me.

The room I stayed in smelled cigarrete.

The location of the hotel was good, close to the central business district and restaurants.

The carpet was dirty, the shower screen was broken (quiet dangerous, health and safety issue). The security of the room was questionable.

Very good value for the money. My room was towards the back of the hotel so it was quiet even though it was central.

Location, right by the terminal for great barrier reef, croc explorers, in the city by the shops and caasino, clean spacious rooms, fair price.

Hotel staff was rude, internet is ridiculously slow
