Also, charging 16 euro a day to park is really churlish considering that this is a 5* plus hotel and you are already paying a premium to stay here.
The pool area is lovely and the Hotel building is fantastic as well as the location.
The Hotel building is fantastic as well as the location,not too far from Cologne,in the beautifuul village of Bensberg.
The room we received had e very nice view on Cologne, the hotel was the occassion for the wedding of my best friend and after we came back from the spa the housekeeping made a hearth of the bed sheets.
They have large Roman his and hers Steam Baths, Finnish and Dry Saunas as well as a hot tub and 360 degree spray showers with shampoo and bath gels.
It was a large double with a king size bed with 15 foot ceilings and three large windows that view the cathedral of Cologne in the distance.
The one in the lobby were also good, the entire staff was extremely professional and the small mini-bar in my room was even included.
A nice big room, but barely any windows, making it a very dark and unpleasant place to stay in.

I did, however, get to 'enjoy' a 1980's styled shoebox shape room that could have been any Hilton or Marriott anywhere in the world, as well as the fusty bar and unexciting breakfast.

There are 3 restaurants in the hotel, but we ate only at one, Enoteca, which is an Italian trattoria.
I think that the Hotel Manager and the reservation staff must be carefull with the events that they organise there!

The spa area is really nice (although you smell the chlorine from the pool in the front of the Enoteca), but the evening bar is kind of outdated at this point if you're not into British-Gentleman-Club style.
Try to get a room with a view towards Cologne since you might be able to spot the spectacular Cologne Cathedral on a clear day.
