Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa - Wailea (maui)

You will pay criminal prices for food, drink, and just about anything else you want (like a shaded location ($40/day)) but as long as you know this, ok.

Location: There are two primary resort locations in Maui.

The restaurants, room, service and location were all excellent.

We flew and landed on Molokai, skimmed the beaches at Lanai (another island), flew over the resort and saw the family, and landed safely back at the airport.

It was somewhat disappointing not to be able to see the ocean, but an ocean view was just a 100 foot walk away.

There were different treatment baths, a waterfall bath, jet shower, champagne bubble bath, and conventional hot tubs, as well as cold plunge baths at my disposal.

The toilet is in a seperate room and there's plenty of room to get ready in the bathroom.

The room was quite large and had a nice lounge chair and a desk in addition to the comfortable bed.

2 rollway beds along with kingsize bed could fit easily.

When we returned to our room,(thanks to our bellhop, Ryan) a hot bath had been drawn for us and flowers placed in the tub.

The free breakfast afternoon open bar are worth the price, the pools are indescribably great.

The bar staff were attentive, the breakfast was very good and the Spa was the best ever.

I was skeptical beforehand because the word "buffet" was next to "$54/person" but I can't wait to go back; top-notch food, sashimi, Japanese dishes, and a dessert bar with a huge chocolate fountain made it all a great experience.

Breakfast will run you $30pp (the Grand Dining Room has the best view in Maui, hands down, so please have brunch here), dinner $60pp excluding alcohol and tips.

They reccommended restaurants that weren't just the touristy places but "real local" places to eat.

Service were excellent, the concierge was very helpful too and the bathroom was wonderful.

The service, rooms, staff, grounds, pool, restaurants and bars are all top notch.

In addition the water elevator is one of a kind and very good food at the grill by the Hibiscus pool.

It was in the Haleakal wing on the 8th floor about half way between the lobby and the self-parking garage.

We did not utilize the Spa, but we did utilize the Gym.

You pay a $25 resort fee that covers local calls and high-speed internet.

The internet is not high speed and they offer a "higher speed" connection for $15 a day.

The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect, our room was clean and tidy, the best food we had was at Mama's Fishouse.

Housekeeping came twice a day so even with a toddler, our room was clean and tidy and a joy to relax in.

Rooms - deluxe garden - was located right by the pool, nice view, clean, fresh.

The staff was uniformly helpful and housekeeping: The rooms were kept very clean.

The bathroom was very clean and modern, no issues there.
