  The rooms are a bit worn out, but the place is not expensive, and the amenities of the 'apartment' are good enough. The breakfast is very good, staff are pleasant and friendly.

  Without question, the Grand President is my favorite hotel in terms of service, layout, and location. The hotel offers a range of rooms and suites that are suitable for both short term guests and long term residents. I really like the atmosphere on Soi 11 and that I’m within a short walking distance of lower Sukhumvit nightlife area and the Nana BTS station.

  The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Sukhumvit's bustling area with lots of entertainment and restaurants around. The Apartments are, to all intents and purposes, a 4 star hotel with all the facilities that go with it. One more thing, if you need a taxi, walk a bit further down the road and hail one from there and insist that the driver uses the meter.

  Very helpful staff who are ever willing to answer your queries. They even call for taxis using meter only, you dont have to worry about taxi drivers overcharging, imposing flat rates etc.

  Love the hotel and the location have stayed there 3 -4 times on my earlier trips all the other staff are cordial and courtious but the front office staff and the lobby manager are very rude and un friendly. Hope the management takes this seriously because on the same day there were two other guests who had a problem with the front office and lobby manager. Love the hotel but the front office staff are really rude and unfriendly.

  Booked the room via Grand President's website for THB2,290/night. Comes with complimentary internet access, breakfast, daily newspaper, discounts voucher on cafe 11 and German Beer House. LOCATION: 2 minutes walk to the nearest BTS station (Nana Station). RECEPTION: They always greet you with a smile. ROOM: The hotel has 3 different Towers/Buildings. I booked the Opal studio 1-bedroom apartment which is located at Tower 3, the oldest building.

• I have to say that the staff were great from the bellhop, doorman to the cleaning crew but that where it stops.

  Searched and found this place, seemed great, swimming pool, gym, great things were expected. We said we were leaving, then as if by magic we had a room/suite suddenly, the one catch was it was £2 each more a night, we thought that was fine even though a bit cheeky.

  The hotel kindly arranged taxi driver to bring us to the hotel from the airport, must admit that i thought the cost of this seemed a lot to get us to the hotel for £20 /1700baht but i knew since i was last there a new airport had been built, so thought it must be that. When we turned up and i asked the taxi driver if it was 1700baht he and the bell boys nearly passed out. Got to the desk and we were then taken to the room, which wasn't actually in the main block, infact it was on the other side of the street. The room had stains all over the bed, headboard, the wallpaper was ripped, fag burns everywhere and above all not a suite. We went straight back to the desk and waited while he tried to find another room, indeed he did, however it was in the same block, but i went and had a look anyway, yet again, an utter pit.

  The extra bed was simply a matress thrown on the floor. It took 4 calls to housekeeping to get this and an additional telephone call for extra linen. We were initially very satisfied with the room. The suite was spacious, modern & having a fully equipped kitchen was helpful.

  We booked the hotel directly in early November to reserve a suite for three adults for the New Year's Eve long-week-end. We identified that we required a three beds (twin +one single bed/or pull out couch. The hotel acknowledged the request and accepted our reservation. When we arrived we were told that no suites were available and asked if my father, sister and I could share a bed? This was completely unacceptable and after much discussion/negotiations we were given a suite, in Tower 2.

  What topped it all off for us was the amount they wanted to charge us to get a taxi to the airport. So we sided to get a taxi off the street. The cab itself said it was metered so we said we wanted a metered cab. We had used cabs before and from that location we knew it would cost us $300THB with the highway tolls included.

  So for the money we paid we expected better service that we received. The rooms didn't have alarm clocks, which worried us because we had to catch a flight that required us to wake up at 4am the next morning. Use the hotel's shuttle service for an obscene amount of $1000THB or get a taxi off the street. The hotel staff then proceeded to tell us that the cabs outside charge $500THB.
