Grand Palace Hotel Riga - 里加

Great location, very enjoyable hotel and centrally located in an old building in a quiet street in the old town.

The location is fantastic and atmosphere of the hotel is great.

Walking distance from many touristic spots and good location.

If you take a taxi from the airport (and unlike Prague, they are honest and plentiful), if you need to be dropped off by the hotel, it takes longer and is 5 lats more expensive as the centre of Riga is barrier controlled to traffic.

Close to shops, helpful and professional from the welcome we received we arrived to the drive to the airport in the hotel car, lively venues frequented by the groups on stag or hen nights.

Plenty of closet space (a separate walk-in room), and bathroom with tub and separate shower, robes and slippers, high-end toiletries.

Rooms small for a 5 star hotel - bed not particularly luxurious and the other funriture is a bit basic and cheap nouveau riche style for something that says it is period.

We had a flat screen tv, fully stocked mini bar, nice little bottles in the bathroom, and a hairdryer that could actually dry my hair.

Moreover the bed was excellent, the game menu in the seasons restaurant was particularly good.

Our room, a junior suite, was 405 Euros/nt.

What is good (and not explained very well on the breakfast menu) is that all the cooked breakfasts bar the last two have no supplement.

The beds are very comfortable indeed and the breakfast is a wonderful experience in the exquisite Orangerie Restaurant, with a la carte dishes available too.

The breakfasts were very good but we didn't have an evening meal, but only because there were too many other restaurants to try on our short visit.

Bar warm, good breakfast and grand Palace represents the very best on european accomodation.

The service is perfect, breakfast is in a lovely high-ceiling room and the restaurant is also good.

Housekeeping staff were first class with two full services each day, front desk could not have been more helpful in getting hotel car to ferry less mobile members of our party to the Opera (10 mins walk) and to pick us up after the performance.

Very helpful nature of all the hotel staff and flawless service.

Surprisingly quiet for such a central location, felt comfotable after 5 minutes of arriving at teh hotel both of us were knocked out by the relaxed atmoshere and the staff at reception were extremely welcoming and professional.

This hotel has the nicest friendly staff and good service.

Probably too long presented on the buffet and the private spa.

The grand staircase of the hotel and the sauna are the highlights (but beware, it is mixed and you may find your privacy interrupted abruptly).

The fitness center was a sad affair but we found our way to a health club at the Radisson.

The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice.

The room was very pretty, clean and comfortable.
