Grand Mercure Bangkok Park Avenue - 曼谷

It has a good location, 2 city block from the sky train and Emporium (upscale shopping mall).

Very professional, location is just a fraction far from BTS skytrain but great plqace nontheless.

The location is great, however if your planning to travel with family or young kids, you might have some explaining to do.

It is very tiring walking past the taxi drivers and massage places, but you learn to ignore them.

Taxi's are available on the road, but dont bother with the drivers immediately out the front, they just want to scam you.

The bath room was so small to step into the tub/shower you had to step in to the bathroom by the toilet then shut the bathroom door to get into the shower - very small.

The rooms were clean and tidy and the bathrooms were OK.

We booked a deluxe room on the 18th floor and despite being carpeted when most of the refurbished rooms have wooden floors it was still pleasant and bangkok.

After a trip down to reception we were given a deluxe room with no hassles and all within 15mins of arriving.

The deluxe room is exactly as the pictures display and was fantastic to come home to after tiresome days out.

The Italian restaurant is first class, and breakfast there was a treat, the fresh fruit, omlettes, service, just awesome.

This same restaurant serves excellent food at night with live but quiet music.

Buffet breakfast was delicious with Asian dishes alongside the usual fare.

There are many shops, restaurant and massage centres nearby.

The place for breakfast was very quiet and the food was fabulous.

The reception staff are very friendly and were happy to write taxi instructions in Thai for us.

The staff here were fantastic and most spoke basic english - the reception always knew what you were saying.

The best feature was the concierge desk and staff.

Un système de vestiaire est disponible pour le jour du départ et l'hôtel met à disposition un vestiair où l'on peut se doucher vant de prendre l'avion et cela même en soirée alors que l'on a "rendu la chmbre", ce qui s'appelle du service.

The hotel has a very pleasant lobby area as one would expect from a good 4 star hotel - clearly there are areas of the hotel that need improving especially access to the pool terrace.

I never used the gym or pool but they look fine.

The hotel was nothing special to look at, the lobby was freezing cold and the rooms, lift and corridor had a musty smell, which went away when we opened the window and turned on the air conditioning.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room gave a stunning view over the rooftops of Bangkok.

Staff are very friendly and we checked in very Quikly, rooms are very clean and spacious.

A mix up with our booking (not the hotels fault) meant we were put in a superior room (which is perfect for the simple or single traveller) It was a good, clean room though slightly small.
