Located right on the central square in Ceske Budejovice and the hotel location is superb.
Magnificent location and nearby tourist historical town on the river.
Excellent location, a park near the river and a fabulous hotel in the main square of this lovely town.
There appeared to be one or two taxis at the train station that could be useful.
We chose the hotel because some of the reviews indicated its close proximity to the train station.
The hotel room was very nice, including a tub in the bathroom.
Beautiful room -Grand Suite- with huge windows opening onto the square.
The bed was a little soft for my liking,.
It was a little hot in the room when we first entered and I noticed right away that there was no air conditioning, but after opening the windows, the room cooled down to a comfortable level.
One downside - the window onto the square did indeed have a great view but it was tiny and not really adequate for the size of the room.
The breakfast buffet was generally good but the hot food was a little lacking - it just looked as though it had been there too long - sausages excepted.
The square is perhaps one of the main shopping areas of the city and contains lots of nice shops and a couple of restaurants.
The cuisine in the different diniing venues were delicious and varied, the staff were very friendly.
The buffet breakfast was included in the rate we paid, and it was good.
Associated with the hotel are one or two restaurants, including one that features another local beer, not Budvar which Ceske Budejovice is famous for.

Every employee from the maid service to the front desk were very friendly and helpful,always ready to go out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
Contains lots of nice shops, excellent value and the staff spoke good English.
One downside - the window onto the square did indeed have a great view and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
