Grand Hotel Villa Medici Florence - 佛罗伦萨

The Villa Medici is in a very good location, close to the train station and to the Arno River.

After spending a week sightseeing the beautiful Toscana countryside and the hotel is in a great location convenient to everything.

The 10 minute walk to the centre of Florence may be an issue for some but it's just a quick taxi ride or nice stroll along the river (when it's not too hot), so not a problem as long as you're aware of it beforehand.

We booked a deluxe room with a view and when we checked in, it had a view but it was on a very busy street just down from the bus station where all the buses leaving Florence came by.

The room we were put in only had one pillow on each bed, no extra blankets, the toilet ran all the time, there was never a newspaper on the door in the morning, and the hotel all in all was not a beautiful facility.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and spotless - there was plenty of room, had a flatscreen TV, terrace, large marble bathroom.

They showed us a junior suite with sitting room (sofa that pulled out) and two full baths.

Large bedroom, large living room area, huge bathroom.

The room itself was not huge but perfectly adequate (the bed was massive & everything very clean).

We enjoyed our meals here including a gourmet dinner (we were alone in the restaurant), 3 breakfasts (all very nice, but had to wait on coffee each time), and a sandwich in the bar.

The concierge took care of our every need, booking us in to 3 excellent restaurants each night that perfectly fulfilled our requests (one night we said romantic and got a restaurant right on the river overlooking the Ponte Vecchio).

A large marble bathroom, the bar next to is very comfortable and the restaurant is romantic.

Gorgeous patio downstairs outside for dining and lounge bar attached.

We ate at the restuarant for the first night and the food was exceptional, as was breakfast.

I especially like the concierge and front desk staff.

The hotel staff was great, the front desk service was the best we experienced and the room was large.

The concierge staff were extremely helpful in booking reservations for additional tours, gallery admissions and trains.

Our time there was faultless from start to finish; a clean and spacious room, excellent service and courteous staff, sumptous buffet breakfast, and really helpful concierges.

I really think that this is the best Hotel in Florence, for the great Service, nice and quiet location , and the wonderfull facilities like a real swimming pool and very nice wellness club,with small but complete gym, Sauna and Hammam.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and the pool area is also very nice.

The pool has a well maintained garden around it, and great service.

The rooms were clean, the Breakfast was fantastic.

The rooms were clean and spacious and we had a lovely view of the garden, mind you it wasn't cheap!

Our room was very large and clean, overlooking the pool.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a 5th-floor deluxe suite, with a welcome platter of fresh fruit and a bottle of wine awaiting our entry.
