Not worthy of a 5-star hotel Breakfast buffet was included in the price.
Great view on the lake, beautiful hotel and well worth the money.
The hotel is a luxury hotel, so you get what you pay for, but we'd go back to Lugano and stay at this hotel in a heartbeat!
We stayed for 2 nights and were a little sceptical at first because it seemed expensive (compared to what we are use to paying for a hotel) & a little older than we had expected.
Great location at the edge of Lugano, the setting is lovely and the service is good.
The location is not central but it is circa 15 minutes walk into the town centre and is a pleasant walk too.
Great location at the edge of Lugano, fantastic view of the lake, not quite the same five star as in Asia, but still very good.
By the way, I took a train from Milan, Italy, and that was very painless, though taxis have Swiss price tags too.
Our room was larger than most typical European rooms, with a comfortable sitting area and a large bathroom.
The view from the room was certainly great to wake up to in the morning, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and the suite we had was good from the dark small bathrooms.
The rooms are very big, the amenities are decent (though maybe more 3 star), the beds are comfortable.
Rooms: I poked my nose into a few rooms before choosing one and they are each individually decorated so that you could have several entirely different experiences in this same hotel.
The hotel was quiet, staff: The people were great and the room was large by European standards.
The food in the main restaurant was pricey, but excellent.
We didn't really have to worry about lunch because the breakfast offered so much!
He recommended two local restaurants for us to try where the local residents eat.
The restaurant feels a bit stuffy though, and I would generally recommend eating 'off-campus'.
We had dinner in the restaurant, and dining there is highly recommended.
Setting were wonderful and staff was excellent.
This hotel is fantastic, newspapers of various languages are available in the lobby each morning and the staff is just great.

The hotel is sprawling and we got lost trying to find the indoor pool.
There is free parking on the grounds, or a pay garage.
Common areas: There is a nice little pool area which must be great in the summer when the glass doors roll open, but as it is, it is good for a relaxing swim and peacefully, privately looks out onto the gardens.
A high quality breakfast, staff was extremely polite and helpful, our room was spotless.
Our room was spotless and the hotel was quiet with businessmen, honeymooners and Europeans.
