Great value for money, considering the cost of some of the other hotels, very near by.
The view from the veranda is spectacular, free hotel coach allowed easy access to Sorrento town centre at various times throughout the day & evening and friendly staff give complete value for money.
The Vesuvio is a superb hotel and excellent value for money.
The hotel pool and other amenities are all very well maintained and overall this hotel is excellent value for money.
Although this hotel is a little out of town, it seems to offer the best combination of view and location.
The location on the hillside above Sorrento was wonderful.
We had been scheduled at another hotel which we went by and I'm sure it was okay but it was in the middle of the town and I liked the GHV location better.
If travelling light then the airport bus to Sorrento is outstanding value, local taxis are not cheap, about 15 euros to the hotel by day and 20+ later at night.
Bar prices were reasonable, but the frequent free bus hotel service downtown was excellent - and if you miss it - taxis approx 15 Euro - cheap with 4 on board.
The bathroom consists of a bath with a shower over it, sink, toilet, bidet and hair dryer.
Our reservation said "double bed" but all they had to offer us was two single beds pushed together, not even made up as a double bed (see picture).
We were lucky enough to have our rooms unexpectedly upgraded and the junior suite and sea view room our party recieved were lovely.
Everything was big - the breakfast room, the bar, the rooms, the bathrooms.
Rooms were clean and hairdryers were provided in each bathroom.
Good salad bar, clean towels etc and food – Breakfast was continental.

The tiny bedrooms were of 2* standard at best and restaurant - pool bar was not overpriced.
Breakfast is typically continental, the pool side snack bar has a good menu and gardens are perfect for relaxing.
Service is exceptional, rooms are wonderful and the staff are really friendly from reception to the bar.
Reception- Staff so helpful organising taxis /assistance with trips ,money exchange,concierge etc.

There is a shallow pool for small children, a larger deep pool and even a poolside jacuzzi.
Cleaned and good price, lovely spacious lobby, the shuttle service to d/t Sorrento was punctual.
Free shuttle bus very useful and sorrento town is very nice.

The view from the dining room is beautiful since one can see the Bay of Naples and the place is clean.

Pool – Plenty of beds and parasols, spotlessly clean and very refreshing, especially during a heatwave.
