Grand Hotel Timeo Taormina - 陶尔米纳

Well located, this hotel has a magnificent location and classic style.

The location is perfect - gives the same view over the bay and the hotel is lovely.

In a perfect location, professional throughout the stay and reception exceptionally helpful and responsive.

Timeo has one great asset - its location, the hotel was PERFECT and the staff was very friendly.

We were upgraded to a Junior Suite with a magnificent view, patio, enormous bed, 2 bathrooms with underfloor heating!

Our room was a 1 bedroom suite and was all we hoped for.

The bath rooms were old European with a heated towel rack.

The service is good and we ended up staying in a Junior Suite rather than the Double Deluxe Room.

Our room in the adjacent Villa Flora was very comfortable, although we found the bathroom rather small and cramped.

Other than breakfast (which was OK) we did not eat there so I can't tell you if the restaurant is good.

The only complaint I have is there were two large parties the weekend I was there and there were small children running wild all over the terraces and in the bar and restaurant--I understand the front desk had their hands full with complaints.

So we booked a table for lunch in the hotel restaurant.

Whenever you come to Taormina, even if you don´t stay at Timeo, don´t miss a visit on the terrace for a glass of wine or at the outstanding restaurant, the best italian food we ever had.

However, nothing compares with the views from the terrace, so a drink on the terrace followed by a passegiata and a meal at one of the many excellent restaurants in the town would be our advice.

It's almost as thought the concierge and reception staff could anticipate our every need.

The service is good, the front desk is attentive and the concierge knows her stuff.

While there's no pool at the Grand Timeo, there is a private beach at the sister hotel which is free to use and is a short shuttle bus ride away.

The garden was beautiful and the pool was a nice size that overlooked the sea.

Would have liked a little clearer direction to the parking facility.
