  The hotel and the island were quiet, so April seems to be a good month to visit. We took the four night 'Romance and Relax' package, which included a junior suite with full ocean view, an excellent breakfast every day, one dinner in the Quisi restaurant, and a massage and sauna each. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful suite, with a full ocean view.

  In my experience, the staff are competely charming and go out of their way to help - particularly Paolo who is Maitre D' of the wonderful terrace bar and his staff, and all the pool staff and Eduardo - the poolside waiter. The rooms are lovely - typically Italian, therefore stylishly understated and most have balconies or patios. We were given a room with private patio garden opening straight out onto the pool, and the hotel prepared a birthday cake for my boyfriend without us asking. It was all such a thoughtful and lovely welcome back to the hotel we were almost crying, and the location of the room was ideal given we spend daytime in the beautiful pool area.

  I have been visiting the hotel for many years and have never witnessed or experienced bad service!

• You cannot beat the location, and the lobby is lovely and the outdoor pool area quite nice, but the rooms are average for a 5 star hotel and I agree that the bathroom is not up to standards for a hotel of this supposed caliber. It was a huge disappointment and when I return to Capri, which I loved, I will definitely stay elsewhere where the staff is friendly and more responsive then the unfeeling corporate atmosphere of the Quisi.

  The location is the best in Capri, it is beautiful with an amazing view and pool area. The rooms are charming with lovely details and the highest quality amenities and linens. The breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful setting. Guests need to know that the hotel will meet you at the ferry and transport your luggage to and from the marina to the hotel, we did not know this and suffered by carrying our luggage up myriad stairs and through thick crowds.

  The Quisisana is one of Capri's oldest hotels, and it enjoys a fantastic location in the heart of the bustling shops. The hotel itself is first class, with excellent service, and our room had a lovely view over the pool and the sea. Capri itself is a wonderful place to spend a few days, however the glamorous shops and restaurants can cause some serious wallet damage! The scene round the pool was amusing for us - it was like a scene from Goodfellas! The only downer is Capri in general is seriously expensive, and some of the prices in hotel whiff of a rip off, €18 for a double espresso for example.

  I said it was a very expensive hotel and I could expect a better service,they replied the rule was for everyone,(hello communismo). Finally after much voice raising and threatenig to call the manager i got the reply that if I was being served ,some other clients would come and try o the same!

  By the way the tv was very slow ,it took ages to switch channels.

  We had a junior suite - it was very spacious, great view of the sea - only drawback was strange shower door (felt like I was in a space capsule, hard to explain), but lots of European showers are strange compared to the ones we are used to in the States. The pool is perfect and the buffet lunch by the pool is terrific.

  Our room was very nice and unlike some other reviews, everything worked properly. Breakfast was great and as one guest put it, walking through those doors on a busy Capri afternoon was heaven. The concierge desk was amazing… they were so helpful. Some cons: As the title of my review implies- if you're young, say under 30 (as my husband and I were) be prepared to be questioned CONSTANTLY about your room number. We filled the report with the airline and we also informed the front desk at the Quisi that our luggage should be arriving. They were so helpful- so helpful in fact that they charged us 80 euro to get the bag to us, ON TOP of the 180 euros we paid for the transfer 2 days BEFORE our bag arrived. The transfer fee included a luggage transfer service which we did NOT use on our day of arrival.

  It got annoying and rather embarrassing- we told the front desk and it in fact got worse. It seemed a little unfair to be charged twice for the same service.

  We stayed in a deluxe double room number 520 which was one of the largest rooms I’ve stayed in excluding Villa Feltrinelli at Lake Garda. This was a moderately priced room, on the ground level facing the pool and sea. Our bedroom was very spacious and bathroom was as well. The lobby was just breathtaking filled with many antiques. Room service was included, but it was limited. They offered to have a doctor come by our room at midnight. He diagnosed me and gave me a prescription which he offered to have concierge fill and deliver.

  The poolside bar service was absolutely poor and slow.
