Grand Mediterraneo Hotel Florence - 佛罗伦萨

The hotel is in a perfect location, directly across from the Arno River, and within easy walking distance to the Piazza Santa Croce, Piazza Signoria, and the Piazza Michelangelo.

The location is too easy to reach and hotel staff is great.

Very easy to reach the mountain in the other side and location is great - far from crowds.

We chose not to walk and managed with a combination of buses and taxi.

At the end of the day we just took a taxi which for 8 or 10 euro was well worth it or of course you could take the bus number 14.

These rooms are suite-like with two bedrooms, a sitting room, and a large bathroom with two sinks.

It is not luxurious; however, the rooms were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large for European standards.

While I was traveling alone and expected a single room, I think the hotel upgraded me because my room was lovely - it overlooked the Arno (well, through the trees), had a king-sized bed and a full bath/shower along with a balcony.

The room was extremely small, there's only a few inches between our twin beds The bathroom was also small, one may feel castrophobic in the tub with the shower doors shut.

Granted, we were part of a tour group--but room with queen-size bed extremely cramped, shower stall was 2 feet x 2 feet, hand-held shower sprayed more water out the sides of nozzle than thru center, hair dryer fell apart in my hands.

We also ate in the restaurant where we found the food very good and average priced.

We ate in the hotel restaurant twice, menu was quite limited but we enjoyed the food, and the staff were pleasant and professional.

There is a lovely pizzeria called Gattabuia (13/15r Lugarno Cellini) which is a lovely local restaurant with great food.

Food in the hotel restaurant is surprisingly good, and the service is first rate.

A few excellent restaurants can be found on the way to the center, where mostly locals go - real Italian food and no extra charging.

Reception staff were very helpful and efficient.

We arrived in a thunderstorm and were soaked to the skin,the reception staff were fantastic and provided us with towels and somewhere to change as our room wasn't ready.

As parking in the city centre is very difficult, hotel is clean and the lobby is nice and spacious.

The lobby was also a great place to just sit and chit chat to end a long day out in the city.

The free parking is a very narrow alley on the side of the hotel, very hard to maneuver the car there.

The room was well presented and clean and tidy.

Overall i could not complain about the hotel and the staff were all friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy.

The hotel itself is fine, not fancy, but comfortable with a good breakfast, helpful staff, and a good-sized, clean room.

Staffs are very helpful, d room is clean and the free breakfast buffet is pretty good.

Nice and clean hotel, informative staff, the bathroom was large for European standards.
