Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva - 日内瓦

The hotel is located right on Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) and there is a swimming and boat rental location directly across the street.

We were extremely lucky to have chosen this wonderful hotel, the location of the hotel is excellent, directly on the lake where we can enjoy the beautiful view from our rooms.

I was booked by a travel agency, i actually wants to give good rating for the look & location of the hotel but the staff made my stay terrible.

5 mins away from the main railway station and around 15-20 mins from the Airport.

We actually caught the bus into Geneva but it turned into a bit of a nightmare so got the train back to the airport.

Otherwise, the room was basically little better - the mattress was better, but the pea-green bathroom tub/sink/toilet with the cheap plastic seat and lid (which comes off very easily) was the same.

The Room had a very good size, bathroom nearly new, the beds are quiet big and the services at the reception and housekeeping are outstanding.

Also the rooms are very nice, I had a standard room, which was newly renovated with plasma screen and I liked especially the bathroom, which was spacious and very clean.

We got a room with views to the lake, and it was just great to see the jet d'eau from our bed.

The rooms themselves were on the small side with tired looking carpets but well equipped with roomy wardrobes and a plasma tv with many channels including arabic channels, the bathrooms were were quite large and beautifully decorated.

The food at the bar as well at the main restaurant with an unforgettable view over the lake of Geneva – you will never find that anywhere else in Geneva.

The hotels Breakfast was fantastic and so was the bar, which had a lively atmosphere.

There were three restaurants with a wonderful range of cuisines and a day spa.

The restaurant & bar are situated across the whole front of the hotel & the views are to die for.

As we had great weather, we took the breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant which has this same perfect view and the buffet had a large choice of fresh breads and swiss specialities.

Staff were extremely helpful and gave first class service.

We will hopefully come back with our company to hold another meeting cause the ratio of services and prices are very good and our secretary had also good experience with the banqueting-staff.

The service in the hotel is also top notch -- esp the concierge who will book tours, loan adaptor plugs, or provide an umbrella all for no additional charge.

The rooms are great now and also the Spa as well as the Gym and pool are renovated by now so next time I absolutely don't want to come alone.

The hotel also has a pool & gym but we didn't use them as we wanted to get out & about as much as possible.

The time I was visiting, the second floor, which has the hotel facilities, pool, gym and porch cafe, was under renovation.

The only thing I don't really like is the internet solutions they provide, it's either chargeable LAN provided by the hotel or chargeable wireless by Swisscom.

However, the rooms were very clean and the lighting was good.
