We were trying to find a hotel as similiar to the Villa D'Este or the Tremezzo hotel with a pool by the lake for a much better price.
This hotel was exceptional for the money.
Dinner was had in the hotel restaurant which we felt was very much overpriced for what it was.
Friendly hotel staff, all showing a beautiful old building directly at the lake and at a really great price.
The location is fantastic and its very close to the boats that take you to the different villages in lake Como.
The location is great - next to the ferry landing.
The balcony overlooking the lake was wonderful, the views out of the window were amazing and location of the hotel was great.
The hotel had a taxi pick us up at the Milan airport and the charge was 100 euros for a trip that took less than an hour.
Upon arrival, the hotel had all details worked out, including car transport to and from the airport and all activities, on and off-site.
Extremely small room, with old depressing motel furniture, no bath tub and one skinny little pillow.
With breakfast and a third bed for a child in the room, we paid 262 euros per night.
Although it sleeps 2, it also has a sofa bed (I think technically it is a suite) and loads of wardrobe space.
First of all, the card key for our room failed each and every afternoon, just as we were getting tired from jet lag and dragging our way towards our bed.
The hotel itself has had a major refurb in the last year, so all the rooms are stylishly decorated with very nice bathrooms, flat screen tv's with movies on demand system.
The bar personal was very friendly and breakfast was delicious.
Breakfasts are excellent, although the Imperialino restaurant is generally knocked for six by the the fantastic Restaurant Posta at the Hotel Posta next door.
Great room, beautiful setting on the lake, nice yet reasonably priced restaurants, excellent breakfast included, very good staff.
In Cernobbio, close to the much vaunted Villa D'Este, are a couple of excellent restaurants, the Restaurant Vappore being my personal top pick, and the Metropole Suisse Hotel in Como also has a fine outside terrace restaurant in the main square.

Our Lake view room was comfortable, the hotel staff were excellent in all egards and the front desk/reception was quite helpful.

2 of the staff members at the front desk tried to help us by calling the train station to track it down since our italien is pretty much non existent.
Extremely poor service in the dinning room, as well as other breakdowns by housekeeping and service at the pool, seem to indicate that management is not paying attention.
All the hotel facilities were great especially the garden patio for breakfast and the pool (too chilly to use yet) right on the lake.
It has a great restaurant, garden and pool area.
Rooms are clean and the two available restaurants are very good.
Moreover the staff were excellent and the room was clean.
Our room wasn't big, but it was very clean.
Rooms are big enough, air conditioned, clean and comfortable, and the balconys of a decent enough size to sit out on.
Location are excellent, the hotel is in the best part of the lake is near the city of como and the rooms are smart and clean.
